I bet that clipper felt nice buzzing around on her, like a massage tool. I like draining water like that, I don't know why. The cows liked seeing the new bedding . Happy cattle jump and kick. Good video. Peace.
silly me...I thought you had to don waders, then step down somewhere in the puddle and find the culvert with your hands down in the water, ramming the rebar through. I like how you did it much better! :) Thanks for another great video Jan!
Jan, I wanted to say that your intro part of your video(s), the air video showing a good part of your farm, the music you use, it's come a long way. You are doing very well with the tech. part of a video production, and to add on top of that, you are still doing long days with a lot of physical effort. Congratulations on your success.
Hey Jan if you drive upside down harrows over the yard and wet spots it will dry up a lot faster and also make for a smooth yard. Many a black finger farming!
Jan you can wear your Gate Beeeeech t-shirt when the weather get warmer. Every farm with a little brother knows exactly what a Gate B is, cuz they livin' that dream.
On an oil leak, put saw dust (the same as you use for the calfs) below. Yes, It will be messy but your concrete floor will not get stuck with oil. Greetings from Spain.
hey jan i trimm my 5 cows every autun and sprig use a tipp: Trimm from the end of the ripps until the vortex it goes faster and easyer and at the end you trimm the vortex and at last the belly. Best regards Maximilian from South Tyrol Ps: your viedeos are amazing.
I remember those culvert freezes from my parents resort in Northern Minnesota. My dad solved the problem by running a heat tape through the few we had and just left them in the culvert all year long. Then when it froze in winter he would just plug it in. I remember one winter they all froze at once. Had extension cords running from different cabins. So crazy. But thawed them out real quickly.
It took me a couple of months before I didn't sometimes gag smelling dairy cow crap. I came from our beef cow farm where I never had an issue with the smell. Once I was use to it I was fine, but man was that a rough transition time. There were guys that would quit after a day or two because they would vomit from the smell. Fortunately the farm had a great shower and laundry room for after work so the odor stayed on the farm.
Thanks for the update on the commodity silo! I love the train horn in the background 🚂 and I don’t have any problems with the sounds on your content! Everyone please stay safe and Jan always be awesome 😎
You should publish a map of the farm. We get to see the aerial view on each video but it is still hard to comprehend where things are. Keep up the good work.
I totally get the cow haircut, our dog groomer retired so I thought why not I can do it. Was I ever wrong it’s still cool enough here to cover her in a doggie coat so no one sees the failed cut
( hair grows back eventually!) ❤️💕 we do our dog to, only because he would be to stressed out going going to the groomers, he can’t take the noise of the blow dryers either ❤️ he’s almost 11 ❤️💕
Jan did someone use the clippers on you after you trimmed the cow? As you were trimming it was thinking you needed a trim too lol and in the next clip you were all trimmed up. Love your videos, they are interesting and educational. Your concern for the welfare of your herd is amazing.
You can get a drain jet kit 100 feet of hose and different nozzles that hooks to your pressure washer on Amazon clean any drain yourself just like the pros do for around $80
You are right... its really unusual to see TWO Case/IH tractors down at once. You must be lucky. Normally twice that many red tractors are broken in an operation your size.
I think you're local John Deere should let y'all Demo a 6130 or a 6 series period & see about upgrading & replacing a red. Or if red Is what you like, Case should get to it and let ya demo.
Hi Jan, 5 liters of milk per day is pretty good pay for the shoddy haircut. Anyhow, another great video, even grandchild of 2 years old was glued to screen, your video is pretty good babysitter.
Well at least he didn't give himself a hair cut! When a dog gets a great haircut they really feel and act better and 'walk proud'. That poor cow may feel cooler but I bet she was hangin her head low! Poor dear!
Dude, don’t quit your day job, you’re a better dairy farmer then a barber 💈. Love your Chanel, keep them coming
I love seeing the cows run and jump when they get fresh bedding its so cute!
I bet that clipper felt nice buzzing around on her, like a massage tool. I like draining water like that, I don't know why. The cows liked seeing the new bedding . Happy cattle jump and kick. Good video. Peace.
Love your Dad's attitude & liked your video of the success you had DRAINING the culvert 👍

Just make sure that cow stays away from any mirrors Jan. She'll be fine

Very cool drone scenes and the cows running in slow motion.
Funny to see some cows watching what you were doing to the 'redhead' . They looked worried 😂
That slow motion at the end was amazing !! keep up the good work

Hello Jan, I'm very happy for you that you spent the days with your hairstyle at a hairdresser's and not at a dairy farmer.
Good morning, it's 4:20 a.m. on March 25th. Spring is slowly arriving in Germany too.
How did your new hammer mill turn out?
We love it!
Jan, try dipping those clippers into some canola oil every minute or so, you will find it cuts faster and cleaner
Jan you can wear your Gate Beeeeech t-shirt when the weather get warmer. Every farm with a little brother knows exactly what a Gate B is, cuz they livin' that dream.
Sweet time lapse of the puddle!
8:59 we live in Saskatchewind. Some say it's spelt "Saskatchewan" but those people must not live here. They'd be blown away by our weather.

Does the net wrap biodegrade at the same rate as the straw? Thank You for all the effort of you and your family.
I don't understand it either ,but I'm not a farmer .
The spreader pulls off the wrap & keeps it. Every so often they have to clean off the spreader, when too much wrap gets wrapped up in it.
@@timothymbonham4453 He has a video of him ripping the green wrap out of the spreader. Not sure of the video.......
Great video thanks for sharing
Great awesome video Jan , always something to do , nice hair cut on the cow lol .

You need to oil those clippers Jan. Great video!

4:37 - You could run it in NASCAR, since it only leaks when you turn right.
Trueee!
Its only flat on one side, right? And i live in the original home of auto racing. Don’t make me say it.
Good video Jan.
The cow will remember this hair cut next year. Want let this happen again.
Lol that cow learned something today
Thanks for the update on the commodity silo! I love the train horn in the background 🚂 and I don’t have any problems with the sounds on your content! Everyone please stay safe and Jan always be awesome 😎
Oh my gawd!! That haircut!
Still laughing!!😅😂
11:35 it’s from Farm stuff with Darrell on TikTok
I always notice how the cows just love being around you. I don't see this behavior on other channels.
Really liked the cinematic shots of the slow-mo cows while the bedding was being put down.
Cow at 2:06 - I told you Angie, that coat wasn't in stlye an more! I told you to get rid of it but noooo. "I want to keep it." Serves you right.
farm stuff with darryl. haha love it
Love the white case tractor
Bless you and your family
Good job Jan, with that trim job you made me feel better about my 1 year old lockdown haircut xD
621 seemed to be a big help.
LOVE YOUR VIDEOS MAKE THEM LONGER.
You should publish a map of the farm. We get to see the aerial view on each video but it is still hard to comprehend where things are. Keep up the good work.
Looks like somebody got his summer haircut early in the season!
Did you drill that black nail to relieve the pressure? Good video!
Your "boss" is very even tempered when stuff goes wrong. Makes life more tolerable for all.
His dad’s the boss
@@alexmackenzie6953 Yes, I know. He has called him "the boss" mostly in these videos -- hence the quotes. Cheers!
Haha yep!
I hope the cow that you gave a hair cut to, is doing better

Seriously...who really cares how their dog looks when u can save $60 vs a grooming session...

Hi Jan, love seeing my notification, Makes my day. I got my tee shirt too. Love it, so soft and washed great. Say hello to your family from Michigan
Would it help to put a drip pan under the leak? Save some mess for your mechanic and the floor!
Great video! Do you mind if I ask which drone do you use, brand and model?
You can get a drain jet kit 100 feet of hose and different nozzles that hooks to your pressure washer on Amazon clean any drain yourself just like the pros do for around $80
It never fails. I always seem to learn something from you! Thanks for the videos!
I love watching u guys bed down the cows with that hay shredder never gets old
Welcome to Canada , wait 5 minutes and we can have 3 seasons of weather 🙃
My daughter loves your videos! When I clicked on this one I got “ooooh I love watching dairy cows!”
Do y’all trim the cows hoof’s yourself or do y’all get someone to do it?
Nice video! I appreciate people like you who ensure the safety of their animals unlike most big business factory farmers.
How many people do you usually have working on the farm at a time? Dose it change seasonally?
Makes me wonder now if the cow with the thick coat knew more snow was coming.
Gate b is from farming with Darryl on tiktok. Also known as gate Bart
Do cows get cushions deasease? It makes horses hairy
Cushings Disease. Pituitary gland over-producing ACTH which becomes cortisol
By placing a bucket under the leaking tractor, you can save time and, as an added bonus, also do some environmental conservation.
Love the tik tok reference! It is one of my favorite ones you made! Keep up the good work Jan!
5:11 Well you COULD have just put a bucket under it.
Snow is beautiful but it becomes a major headache when it melts making slush everywhere!
Your mechanic would like you to throw a pan under that tractor
It pays to all ways a extra tracker on the farm
That’s smart 🤔🤔 next time
@@saskdutchkid I comment on your video on RUclips yesterday can you please look I subscribe to your RUclips channel you are awesome
You are right... its really unusual to see TWO Case/IH tractors down at once. You must be lucky. Normally twice that many red tractors are broken in an operation your size.
Great video, you always do such a good job.
What other animals do you raise ? Also do you hunt & if so what ?
“ a little off the top, please”
Great time lapse on the water drain off
Jeebus, you made that poor cow look like it had a severe case of mange! Jan walk away from the clippers.
😂😂😂
She is now the laughing stock of the barn...poor girl. No date to the prom for her. 🤣🤣🤣
😂🤣😂
Oh my
Well she ain’t the tamest cow he said. Lol
The cow with the brown / white fur doesn't have much on its ribs. Good Holsteiners naturally have, not exactly a large frame.
All your videos are awesome on RUclips I subscribe to your RUclips channel and I support you on RUclips
Sound of the trimmer reminded me of the scene in the Grinch where he cut all hit hair
nice timelapse on the water draining through the culvertje (it's a small culvert) ;)
Can you give us an update on the shoulder rails in the freestalls plz. There’s a plastic one behind you there.
2:05 cow with a mohawk.
They evidently don’t make oil collection buckets in Canada?
The cows are so happy with their new bedding!😊😂
Yep yep .. Jan got a haircut !!
Jan, you would make a great barber if you worked for the military.
I think you're local John Deere should let y'all Demo a 6130 or a 6 series period & see about upgrading & replacing a red.
Or if red Is what you like, Case should get to it and let ya demo.

5:10, I was told if it's red it should stay in the shed!

1:59 This cow photo bomb the video.
Are your cows in all year round
I love those old 2390s
Looks like you also got a trim and you got your money's worth.
Student of DVM🖐️
LOVE Your videos
Interesting and informative for me
Jan gives a cow a hair cut, Jan gets a hair cut. A coincidence? I think not!
😂
Maybe the cow gave Jan a haircut in return, to say thanks! 👌
Efficiency is key
Well at least he didn't give himself a hair cut! When a dog gets a great haircut they really feel and act better and 'walk proud'. That poor cow may feel cooler but I bet she was hangin her head low! Poor dear!
Maybe with same clippers lol
Another great video about life on the dairy farm!
Snow still on the ground. "I don't know why she hasn't got rid of her winter coat"
I never laughed so hard that was so funny, barber not.

Amazing that i complain at what i have to do, then i watch your day and repent of my complaints!
His day doesn't seem very hard as compared to how hard it could be
That 2390 is a good tractor
What do you do with dead cows
Love the morgen wallen

Have you ever thought about making all the feed bin augers end up in the same spot so you don’t have to move the wagon for every different ingredient?
