Yhon. Thank You very much for the videos. Alway's great to walk along with you day by day wotking the cow barn. Most folks have no idea or knolage how much work go's into a simple glass of milk. Again Big Thank You for the video's. Please Take Care of your self Plus Be Very Care Full around all Farm Equipment. 🎄🤗😊😃🤠🎄
Those cows like the new bedding. That drone takes great shots of the farm. You are lucky to be living in the days of such technology. There's cows that want to kiss the camera and there's cows that want to kiss the dairyman. I know which one I want to be. It's nice that the cows like you. They don't mind returning affection. I didn't guess it but it was funny. Really good video. Peace.
Loved the drone footage! I’m glad it’s getting warmer for you. It’s finally starting to warm up in Texas! Watching your video is a great stress reliever for me! Keep on keeping on and God Bless ❤️!
Hi, your operation is a breath of fresh air for us, nice and clean and quality cows. We also appreciate your cheerful attitude, you must be a Christian! Blessings from Alberta
I did like this video.. the drone footage is always my favorite. such beautiful blue sky there.. same here today along the coast of Maine. love cow #25.. go cute she waits for you.
Great video Jan and great drone shots. Its no good when your parlour is frozen when you are needing to milk. Glad closing your air vents stops the freezing problem. We have 2 quite cows like your one mother and daughter.
I have to say as I continue to watch your videos I am truly mesmerized by how much is involved as a farmer on your case being a dairy farmer. I absolutely love your show and I watch it Continuously keep up the amazing work you and 10th generation farmer are my favorites.
Darshak Kamani I just made a comment how some viewer on here was gonna come to the rescue to a farmer that has enough nuts and bolts on hand to start a hardware store, to solve the problem with a lock nut lololol
Same here, it mixes better with straight hot water (always had some that didn't dissolve when we've used cold). We use a 15gal chemical barrel and roll down the alley to mix it up.
Jan suggestions on that bolt on the crowd gate, use a longer bolt and double nut the bolt, cinch down the double nut and it won't back off. Aloha from the Big Island 🤙🏼
Super video, Jon. So glad the temps have gone up for you and making life a little bit easier on the farm. Love the loader, and very glad you have it to use. Can we name your favorite cow? You know we non-dairy people love naming cows, right?
"Ground beef!" ... Don't quit your day job!!! 🤪 Consider some self-locking nuts; the kind that have a nylon insert that helps keep them from twisting off. 👍
So glad the cold weather finally broke, (although -15C is 5F and still too cold for me). A 46 degree change probably feels like a Heat Wave. The drone footage did show the beauty of your farm in Winter. Okay, so #25 is your favorite and she obviously has a Crush on you;; but now you have to film the Biggest Cow who is wrecking the Wash Trays. Maybe "LOCTITE" on the end of the bolt would keep the nut on for a longer time. A COW JOKE FOR SISTER: Why do cows have hooves instead of feet? - Because they lactose. 🚜 🚜 🚜🐄🐄🐄🐄 🚜 🚜 🚜 X 5
If you had 1/2" longer bolts and used Teflon lock nuts those would never come apart again. With those nuts it could keep happening. Your call. I find when something that fails and you can fix it where the issue why it fails is corrected you have less work over time. What do you call a cow with no legs ? It doesn't matter. It won't come. OR What do you call a Chinese Cow with two legs on one side ? "She- leans!"
Is there an attachment an attachment for the skid loader that would spread the bedding sand? Something like a straw or woodchip spreader? Seams like it would be easier and faster just to drive down threw and shoot the sand in the beds.
Hey Jan the cab view starting 5:30 and going to 5:40 was cool. Can we have another cab view like that its interesting to see how you work in the loader cab.
mowman jones I bet you will get a personal thank you from Jan's family for that brilliant one of a kind, life saving suggestion. What would farmers do without advice from their viewers, huh? lololololololol
@@lightbulb1982 not sure about you, but farming has been in my family since my Great Great Grand Father drove a ox team from the gulf of mexico to Iowa, then to south dakota, and I've been a machinst for 50 years so I know show to nuts and bolts tight
Jan - how far is your dairy/farm from the nearest town. Would love to see what you do in your off time if you ever have any. Amazing how flat your area is.
Take the bolt, drill a hole in the end of it, run it through the frame, put a washer on it, then run a cotter pin through the hole. Then you won't have to worry about losing the nut off it since you can't tighten it down.
Ladies our going to have fun playing and wrestling around in the stray bedding it’s awesome watching them play.Your barns are maculate very clean nice . Give you all a 💯percent keeping barns clean and keeping animals feed plus calving and doing what you can to keep animals healthy . Investigation.
Would it be possible to plant 2 or 3 rows of pine trees (conifers) on 2 or 3 sides of your dairy to block the blowing snow before it hits the premises?

I worked on a Holstein farm that had 400 head in the barn i worked my younger year like 20 to 30 years ago. The barn across the road had 400 head. The the farmer had 3 rental properties that had a 100 each. His Holsteins were not friendly at all. Most would kick you then look at you.
Great video. You are a hardworking person and your family as well. Working on a farm is very tough. But you still find time to make some nice shots. Thank you.
When will that poor bobcat get a bath!? lol. You always said clean equipment is vital to a long life for it, so why not the bobcat too?? Genuinely curious, and I think a washing video would be so satisfying to watch. Also...I'm interested in your drainage system. I know you have info about it spotted around your vids here and there but I haven't seen any too in-depth about where everything goes once it goes into the drains. Where does it drain to? Thanks for video. Wow, what a farm and operation. Drone shots really give more perspective of the magnitude of your operation.
I think it’s so sweet that #25 loves you so much!! I would love to have cows! I think they’re such gentle giants. You take awesome care of your herd!
You probably don’t have time to read the comments but you farmers are very hard workers and I appreciate all you do for our country.

Drone video show just what an impressive farm you have. Love the cow joke. You deserved the pat on the back.Great video-thanks till next time.
Use locknuts to prevent opaning and loosing of nuts.
That is exactly what I was going to suggest. 👍
Darshak Kamani I just made a comment how some viewer on here was gonna come to the rescue to a farmer that has enough nuts and bolts on hand to start a hardware store, to solve the problem with a lock nut lololol
or some loctite
Yes, nyloc nuts are the cure for those bolts coming out!!
Blue Loctite works well too. Don't always have lock nuts on hand
Ok your sister has a very bright smile especially when she's taking the mickey out.of you.🙂
I have no idea what "mickey" is, but it sounds painful.
@@ShowCat1 'mickey' is english slang for 'making fun of someone'... 'taking the pi.. ' or even just 'winding someone up'....

Great video jus like all them .. love the drone shots .. the deer are pretty your drone camera such nice quality picture
Thanks for the extra work doing the drone shots Jan. Good video - nice to see your sister's smiling face, and she even laughed at your joke!
Once the snow melts I bet you could find some drop antlers in those trees around your farm. Great videos I have been binge watching.
Warmer😳🤣 Love seeing the deer, even though they're freeloading. Your sister sure is cute! Grandma Kim
GROUND BEEF!! Classic!
We need more of the sister!

You should use nylon threated nuts for those bolts. They will keep them from coming loose.
What kind of towel does a cow use?
A teat-towel!!

Another great video Jan, and super cool views of the farm from your drone. Love it, but loose the beard! haha. You have such a fantastic face...
Love the drone shots! Your dairy farm is like a small city. :)
What a beautiful day to get shots if the farm. Hav a good nite🌛

How do you manage Snow and Ice build up on the roves of the building or can they stand the weight, Great videos
Looks like you need some nylon insert locknuts, they have a nylon ring on the inside of one end.
Brother sister relationship 😊 one question I have. Do you ever give something of the cows names?
put some thread loctight on the nuts and bolts it will keep them tight

In the milking parlour it better to use bolts whit teflon in it. They will not losen up.
