    Chicken Haleem
    Ingredients for Boiled Chicken:
    Chicken (Breast Piece with Bones) 2
    Water 6 cups
    Salt 1 tbsp
    Ingredients for Dal Mixture:
    Chana Dal (Split Chickpeas soaked) 1 cup
    Masoor Dal (Red Lentil soaked) 1 cup
    Mung Dal (Yellow Lentil soaked) 1 cup
    Wheat oats 1 cup
    Barley oats 1 cup
    Water 5 cups
    Ingredients for Chicken Haleem:
    Oil 1/4 cup
    Onion (sliced) 1 cup
    Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
    Chicken (boiled & shredded)
    Chicken stock 1 cup + 1 cup
    Turmeric powder 1 tsp
    Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
    Red chili powder 2 tbsp
    Cumin powder 1 tbsp
    Coriander powder 1 tbsp
    Salt 1 tbsp / to taste
    Garam masala powder 1 tbsp
    Dal mixture
    Fried onion as required
    Ginger (julienne) as required
    Green chilies as required
    Lemon slices as required
    Directions for Boiled Chicken Preparation:
    1. In a pot, heat water and add chicken, salt, cover, and boil until the chicken is fully done.
    2. Turn off flame and reserve the stock for later use.
    Directions for Dal Mixture Preparation:
    1. In a pot add split chickpeas, red lentil, yellow lentil, wheat oats, barley oats, water and add water.
    2. Cover and Boil until dal gets fully tender. now take off the lid and turn off flame. Blend the mixture well. set aside.
    Directions for Chicken Haleem Preparation:
    3. In a pot heat oil and add onion and cook until starts to turn brown.
    4. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for a minute.
    5. Now add chicken and stock and mix well.
    6. Add turmeric powder, black pepper powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, garam masala powder and cook for a minute.
    7. Add chicken stock, dal mixture and mix well. cover and cook for 5-8 mins.
    8. Your chicken Haleem is ready. Dish it out and garnish it with fried onion, ginger, green chilies, lemon slices and serve.
    Prep time: 15-20 mins
    Cooking time: 2-3 hours
    Servings: 5-6
