- This is episode 1 of season 3 H2O - Just add water!
Rikki and Cleo are about to face their final year of high school without Emma, who has gone travelling with her family. The JuiceNet cafe has now closed down and is just a vacant building on the coastline until Zane buys it and persuades Rikki to reopen it with him, renaming the cafe Rikki's in honour of her. At the cafe's opening night, Cleo and Rikki meets Bella Hartley, a new girl in town who does Rikki a favour by singing for her in Nate's band. That same night, free-diver Will discovers the Moon Pool and witnesses the full moon's effect on it.

H2O - Just add water is about three teenage girls who can transform into mermaids.😮
After a night bath in a lake, everything is different and as soon as Cleo, Emma and Rikki come in contact with water, they transform and get a mermaid tail. After further experimentation, the girls also discover they have supernatural powers over water like boiling or freezing water. They try to keep their secret from everyone else which makes their everyday life anything but simple. 🧜♀️🌊

For anyone that wants to know: this show was only planned for 2 seasons. But due to popular demand, released a 3rd season 2 years after the last one ended. Actress that played Emma didn't return, and they made many changes. If the end of season 2 seemed like the end of the series, that was because it WAS the original end of the series.
I think it was also because The movie “packed to the rafters” was being filmed during that time(2008) and she apparently was in that movie. She was not shown in the cast where I looked so she could’ve been in the backgrounds or something else. I am not sure about this though
It should've stuck to 2 seasons as planned.

I'm 22 and I'm not going to judge myself for watching this at any age. I see this show as an art. Jonathan Shiff and the crew have been creating this masterpiece with such love and passion for that. And I'm really thankful for their sense of beauty and aesthetic.
It needs a huge talent and imagination to film like that. Those tails, moon pool, Mako, underwater scenes, music, the mermaids theory and actually every screen view are aesthetically gorgeous.

Basically, three girls go for a walk on an island, fall into a cave, see a pool and get in it to get out of the cave, moon goes over pool and transforms them into mermaids, they find out later and then struggle with it for a while, a few.. kinda crude jokes? But not bad and some flirting.

I love how this show portrays the growing up of teenagers so perfectly. shows don't do that anymore. each season we see them a little more grown-up and they keep maturing throughout the episodes really beautifully. THIS SHOW KEEPS SURPRISING I TELL YA😩

Yeah but TVD started in 2009, and there was one season per year, Claire's character wasn't introduced until season 3, which would have been 2012, TO only started in 2013, and the last episode of h2o season 2 was in 2008, so that would have left claire 5/6 years as they had filmed months before it was released.
Bella was fine, but they could've given her better power.
After Freeze- heat and manipulation, Jelly feels kinda lame.. especially for replacing freeze.

Cleo had changed alot in this season, she went from being shy to being Hella confident which I LOVEEEEEE!, She's so beautiful here like OH DAM! 😍🔥🥵
For those who don't like Bella for "replacing" Emma, I completely understand but it wasn't anyone's fault. This season was due to public demand (meaning season 3 wasn't planned before hand). Emma was busy with another show so she couldn't be back for this one as well as Lewis (that's why he leaves mid-season). They are incredibly similar, I do agree. As someone who grew up with season 1, I miss old characters and the JuiceNet but all Imma say is that we should be glad that they made a season 3. Plus, it would feel incredibly incomplete with ONLY Rikki and Cleo (I do want season 4 too tbh but I guess we ain't having it... )
Side note: Will didn't replace Ash. Cleo has Lewis, Rikki has Zane, and Emma has Ash. It was only fitting to give Bella a love interest

@KenyaGirly I mean she had already gotten more confident from season 1 to 2. Cleo had the most major changes in the whole show, besides Zane. Emma was pretty much the same both seasons we saw her, Rikki too (but she was alright the way she was), and Bella only had one season so yeah.
