    F-Zero Maximum Velocity is a futuristic racing video game developed by NDcube and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy Advance. The game was released in Japan, North America and Europe in 2001. It is the first F-Zero game to be released on a handheld game console.
    The Grand Prix is the main single player component of Maximum Velocity. It consists of four series named after chess pieces: "Pawn", "Knight", "Bishop" and "Queen", each having five races in four difficulty settings. In this movie, Memory ( tasvideos.org/... ) uses the best unlockable machine at the hardest difficulty setting to blaze through the Pawn tracks of the Grand Prix mode.

    one of the most underrated Nintendo IPs. F-Zero X is one of the best racing games i’ve ever played

      They neglect the shit out of FZero. They need to sell the brand to Sega or Namco

      @@nocturnalnights27 Sega neglects the hell out of half its IPs too tbf and treats a ton of them like garbage. Namco I'm not so sure about.

      @@MemoryTAS I agree...BUT Sega made FZero games arguably better than Nintendo, and Namco makes Nintendo's arcade Mario kart games, so they would do more justice than letting them rot

    • @MemoryTAS
      @MemoryTAS 5 лет назад +5

      @@nocturnalnights27 That's my point though, Sega lets half of their own IPs rot. Just look at what they've worked on in the past and compare it to what's actually active today.

    Used to play this game all the time. Only found this video b/c of F-Zero 99 messing with the RUclips algorithm and promoting everything F-Zero. Sure brings back some fond childhood memories grinding away to complete this game.

    that was some extreme snaking

    • @MemoryTAS
      @MemoryTAS 5 лет назад +6

      It's more like inverse snaking since you generally want the drifts to last as long as possible.

    never knew you could slide like that in this game. i still got this on the 3ds virtual console as part of the original Ambassadors program, for those who bought the 3ds within the first few months of its initial release before the console price drop. it was Nintendo's way of saying sorry to those who bought the 3ds at the higher price before they dropped the price of it.

    Using bomb trap and other machines for extra turbo boost, what a monster perfect calculations every single turn, and lastly perfect blocks for every incoming machines behind

    • @MemoryTAS
      @MemoryTAS 4 года назад +5

      I'm not attempting to "block" incoming machines from behind, I could easily outpace them. I use them for speed boosts

    Wouldn't it be faster to drop back to 2nd place just before the finish line of each race and avoid the long "1" screen?

    • @MemoryTAS
      @MemoryTAS 5 лет назад +6

      it would be faster for real time and not ingame time which I was aiming for

    He he he. We know how that went.
