Thank you Cindy. So glad you like the end result. I loved the freshness with the red & white, even though I love that gold brown paper. Will save that for another project!
I loved that size too Janet. I have some 8x12 ones and they are still available on the Stampin' Up! website and are on sale as they are from the CTMH product line. They make great fold over pages as well, and you can dress them up like part of the scrapbook layout.
@JaniceGilhooley I also use the 8 by 12 and have quite a few..just ran out of the 6 by 12..give them a suggest if you get a chance! Love watching your videos!
I am so glad you found the explanation easy to follow and hope you have a lot of fun with this technique! Practice makes perfect - I have had a few mishaps when I first started using flip flaps.
I have to admit, I still hold my breath when you do your flip flap demos!! For myself, I do them over the top of the plastic protector sheets. I am a menace when I handle anything sharp as my hands can attest!! In fact, at one stage my family banned me from using sharp knives! I have noticed over the past couple of months that I am developing the shakes which I am not happy about AT ALL!! 😆
I hold my breath when I cut sometimes too - unless I'm talking while recording. I'm so sorry you have shakes with your hands. You could possibly try and do this with scissors so you're not using a knife. Adhering them onto top of the Memory Protector works well too - and is probably easier and less time consuming.
Thank you for the great flip flap tutorial. I was putting mine on top of the page protector. But found several of them sagging in my books. With your tutorial I’m going to try adhering them to the actual page. Thanks again for the tips and tricks to this
I'm so glad you found the tutorial helpful Chris. I hope you put this way of adhering Flip Flaps to use. Just a suggestion: have a couple of practice runs on old protectors or packaging with the punching the holes and slicing. I had a few failures when I first started do this.
Did you make four holes on the bottom flip flap? It seems like with just 3 holes, you are cutting open 2 sides of the square where your base photo is. Did I miss something? Thanks for the tips!
I made 3 holes for the bottom Flip Flap. Top Right, Bottom Right & Bottom Left, then cut the 2 sides. I think you can see where the hole punch left a mark on my cutting plate. If you rewatch the video you'll see that I've punched just the 3 holes.
Monica - as Cindy has pointed out - I've cut an "L" for the 2 sides so the Memory Protector will still be over the photo on the base page. I didn't do 4 holes and cut because that would have cut an entire square from the Memory Protector.
What a difference it made going with the red and white and removing the golden brown. Good choice!

Hi Janice - this is a great 101 video for using flip flaps! Su page protectors currently are top loading. I love how you got so much on two pages
Thank you so much for the information on the Stampin' Up! page protectors. I'm so glad you enjoyed the video.

I get where your going with that Monica. The whole "L" section would be open unless she doesn't cut from the dot punch.

Lovely layout, great use of flip flaps to add more photos. The food looks delicious
