First, and only, concert I (accidentally) attended was at a bar on the beach in Santa Monica or Malibu (can't remember). It was one of those "I can't believe what I'm seeing/hearing at this otherwise nondescript bar" moments. Scratch that - saw the Igor and the Red Elvises iteration of them in Seattle (intentionally) - was excellent, but not the same without Zhenya Rock.
