Late reply, but I agree! I would absolutely love to be able to take a long road trip and just go wherever the journey takes me.
That said, the gas/petrol prices are a bit steep! Oh well! I will live vicariously through Jamie and Sherpa!! ❤️
Watching on August 24, 2024, 04.09 am, remembering Sherpa, and supporting Jamie. Loved the "getting ready" packing up, and Sherpy in his copilot position; as well as lounging and looking out the windows. I wonder if Sherpy got some Haggis on this trip? Rest In Peace sweet Sherpa- watch over Jamie until you two are reunited at the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🌈🌈

I think Sherpa can tell he's going to take a long road trip very soon because dad's voice sounds hopping-happy while preparing. Jamie's prepping videos are always very thorough and efficient, and also make me excited about the trip even tho Im not an enthusiastic camper myself. Have a safe trip, Sherpa and Jamie!! 💙💛❤️💙

🤣😂, Thanks Mr. Jamie, for resting up after the long drive to Scotland. And thank you for waiting for the sunshine and light to show us the scenic view. Our Sister, when she was alive would show us the scenic views where she lived in the dark and not many street lights were on the route. Momma, our Niece, other Siblings and myself would have to keep a straight face and do the usual nods of seeing what she was showing but did not see a thing 🤣😂. We all knew not to look at each other otherwise we would truly crack up with laughter which would hurt her feelings. We all miss those journeys however, memories are priceless filled with blessings and joy 🤩

When you were walking down the bike path near the end, I thought, 'How funny would it be to run into Batdog while in Scotland?' I expected him to show and keep away all the ghosties and zombies. 😆 Looks like a wonderful time so far. You both be safe!
in case you return one day and stay in the same place, about 50 yards from Starbucks is the Milton Dog home run by the SSPCA.. ...if you had a spare box of treats that needed to be used, I'm sure the woofers would appreciate it.

Everytime we go to get coffee at Dunkin's Donuts your red Van is there. Keith always says Sherpa is here!! I would love to be able to go on adventures like you and Sherpa do. But being disabled it makes it hard to do. I did travel to 39 states last year and got to see so many beautiful places I've never seen before. I've always wanted to travel abroad but the thought of flying stops me lol.. Many safe, happy and blessed travels along the New Year, Much Love from Kentucky
Travel to NZ is difficult to do at the moment because of Miss Rona who must be obeyed. But when we reopen our borders and if you ever make it here at our Waitomo caves we have a whole underground caving adventure that is wheelchair accessible - adventure travel for the disabled

Treat your shoes with some scotch guard… mud and grime will just wipe right off! I like to rub a compound of my grandfather’s "secret" recipe on my leather boots and shoes… it’s basically saddle soap, uglycerine, and beeswax… melt it all down, mix it all together and then let it settle up or firm up… a little bit goes a LONNNNNNG lonnnng way!!! Take a soft rag and rub it into your leather… let it sit and soak In and them wipe it off… give it a good shine up/buffing and your shoes will be 100% water proof to puddles and rain …. It just beads up and rolls off! Mud and muck will wipe away without hurting anything too!
Seeing you near my flat in edinburgh while I am somewhere else looking after my elderly nana and you two staying in a travel lodge paying when I would have just sent you my keys and told you to enjoy exactly where I live, normally lol (1 mile radius of Arthurs Seat and Portobello beach) offer is there still as my nana needs me for the forseeable future, just make sure Sherpa isnt a Starship chewer.....my Enterprise D I built is my pride and joy of my livingroom, but feel free to burst the squeakers, my dog doesnt last long so I have a standing order every month due to her.....destruction of squeaky toys lol

Jamie just a travel tip I go to my local super store or dollar store for all my travel munchies because I refuse to buy over priced munchies at a gas station. LOL :) Great trip!
You probably packed more for Sherpa than for yourself. At least it always happens to me, then I always miss half of it😁. Sherpa is so calm all the time. Have fun and enjoy the time 😊❤️

TomTom! 👏 I used to use one all the time cus I loved the gadget. Now iPhones and maps are so good I never bother anymore. I even had to buy USA maps one year for the TomTom 😂 Not needed now as it’s all free via Google and Apple maps. Thx for sharing. Fantastic idea, great trip and awesome company. Watching Jaime and Sherpa has taught me several different words the English use versus what Americans use. I love it. Sherpa and Key are my two favorite Dogs. ❤️
Sherpa travels so well; no car sickness and so well-behaved in places. Two observations that are not Sherpa related. 1) I've noticed the hallways in the hotels where you have stayed seem to be quite narrow. In the US, they would be twice as wide at least. I don't know if that is just the style of the hotel chain you frequent, or if that is normal in Europe on the whole. It is a curiosity. 2) If the news channels are to be believed here in the US, it is a complete surprise that anyone is doing any traveling at all. It is reported that your whole country is crippled with either sickness or super high costs for fuel and food that no one is moving around much. I am glad that you are able to get out and wander around.
