    Taking the hub out with RUclips-magic in 2 seconds. In real life it needs a bit of foul language.

      You are right, sometimes it’s quite difficult to dismantle old parts, but in our case, in order to save time, we are forced to weaken some nodes earlier.

      @@Evaldas94 Since the parts are old enough to be replaced, I reckon they are far from new...

      There is no such video on the channel, you can find this information in the technical documentation for repairing your car.

    This video is useless.
    Yes it shows how to do the job, but its not an honest account of the problems a mechanic WILL face when trying to remove the actual stub axle from the hub.
    They are a nightmare to remove because they are rusted in so tight.
    This video gives the impression its two tugs on a slide Hammer and off it pops.
    It would have been something to have a text box to say "removal of hub axle once unbolted can take some time and effort."
    Showing everything going smoothly and easy just utterly undoes this video.

      We cannot show all the nuances and problems when replacing, this is all individual and it is not always possible to solve them at home. To avoid this, we always recommend doing replacements at specialized services.

      @@autodocuk sorry but when it can take longer to actually get the stub axle off than the actual process of unbolting everything, it goes beyond "nuance" and is something you NEED to warn the Home mechanic about. If you are offering help, offer the full help, "whilst the unbolting of hub cover and stub axle is fairly simple, the actual extraction of stub axle after it is unbolted can oftentimes take quite a while."
      Your video simply doesn't bring it up, so a home mechanic tries and gets stuck, all because there was no warning.
      That's not "nuance"!

      If you're doing this job and believe it's that simple, you probably shouldn't be doing the job. I didn't watch the video to see how easy it was, but simply to clarify the process. I've seen the back end of the one I'll be doing and watched other videos, it's clearly obvious it can be a bitch to get out. So a bit of a pointless and unnecessarily critical comment.

    • @Galahadfairlight
      @Galahadfairlight 24 дня назад

      @kevinbush7907 most hubs on other cars are as easy as shown in the video, but not this particular car.
      I'm experienced plenty chap, but this video helps nobody if experienced mechanics struggle, but the home mechanic thinks "how tricky can it be, in the video it came off easy!".
      As for the rest of your missive, probably best you take a seat, you're clueless.
