- Robin Williams was one of the 2009 Disney Legends to be inducted at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, Calif. on Sept. 10, 2009. This is his full introduction by Tom Bergeron and Bob Iger and his speech.

This is a real living Legend, I coul'd only guess how hard it must have been for the animators in Aladdin to keep up with him. I'm a translator and he's my nightmare (In a very funny and respectful way).
He was a great actor in many movies, but Aladdin is the one I always go to when I'm feeling gloomy because Genie always brightens the day! (on the side I didn't realize Donald Duck is the only one who does not have pants until he mentioned it😂)

Tom Bergeron (first host) is from Haverhill Mass about 3 towns north of where I grew up, Danvers MA ~ Robin’s end still bothers me, we are the same age and he was extra brilliant never will actor or comedian be his equal.

Interesting how they didn't mention that they wrote in a contract that they would honor an agreement with Robin to not use his voice to sell Aladdin merchandise and then did it anyway, thus causing Robin to avoid Disney until the Aladdin director came to him and apologized while also giving Robin a painting. (They wanted Robin for Flubber.)
