    Vroid studio is indeed very laggy on MacOS , it is much more responsive under windows.
    Small tip when using these characters with deep motion… use a base version (no clothes) instead of a clothed version to apply the animation on and add the clothes in later.

    I have like eight characters at this point, and one other made in Gravity Sketch. That one was able to be included thanks to the vrm export with blender. I wish I could find a game where they can be playable characters. They look like playable characters from an rpg, lol. Also, there are some crazy talented submissions made by gifted people on the hub website. Makes me want to get better at the textures. I don't any other games these characters can be used in other than VRchat.

      If you learn how to create animation assets, not only can you sell the same assets over and over as passive income, but you can release new animations to use all the time! Some people have the money to buy assets to help, and some people just don't want to waste the time and get to the point of their animation or game. Don't worry!

    I've tried VRoid a couple of times and I've always been disappointed. There's potential there but it's also very limited, especially with bodies and even more so with males. At least it was when I tried it middle of last year. It is free though, so that's a bonus if you really need anime style characters and are okay with what they offer. It's not for me though.

      @pierre-samuelgreau-hamard6379 3 года назад +11

      @Elwaves Vroid improved a lot since middle of last year ; they released the official version. Although face parameters are now almost sufficient for anything you might want, there are still a lack of parameters concerning the body shape, but they created a framework such that adding parameters is easier, and they plan on building up the number of parameters on a regular basis. So I say, just keep an eye on it, and in a few years' time, it will be THE way to go to create anime style 3D characters.

    Wouldn't Mixamo be easier to use rather than deepmotion? In the sense that you don't need to even bother filming or anything, and the animations in the lib will loop correctly out of the box, as well as providing some movements that would be difficult to produce yourself or with which the DL algorithm of deepmotion would struggle to convert.
    And AFAIK it's still free (which seems kinda weird btw, has Adobe forgot about it?)

    • @schwipsy
      @schwipsy 3 года назад +2

      i think the "issue" with mixamo is that it cant use .vrm files, which is what vroid uses, but you can always import it to blender and export it as a more common file type

    • @The_Xeos
      @The_Xeos 3 года назад

      @@schwipsy Yeah that's what I was thinking, import .vrm to blender, then export to .fbx (without rig to rig it with the integrated rigging tool of mixamo) which you import in mixamo, and reexport with the animations and rig, might be a bit convoluted but technically it should work pretty smoothly ^^

    • @bexplosion
