    That mid explanation pause and side-look to mystery bird happened right as I was thinking it XD
    Despite the chaos I feel like you're able to accomplish a good amount of FO's - a glimmer of hope for reckless chaotics.
    If there's ever a future fiber people knit night with equally chaotic people I'd be all about that.

      While i love to think it will make us finish projects the reality is it would just be us all encouraging each other to cast on 78 projects at once 😔

    your ingrid sweater story was a real rollercoaster. i think it looks so cozy and definitely has a bit of a sweatshirt vibe but in a good way.

    Your square is going to be lovely! Kakigori is a single ply yarn and it is the nature of singles yarns to bias. Blocking to shape may help

    • @redthistleknit5256
      @redthistleknit5256 Год назад

      Just what I was going to say. The biasing can be counteracted if it is knit/woven flat, but that's not much fun for knitting a T. It can be blocked pretty straight, usually, but every time it gets wet the fabric will return to its more relaxed state and bias.

    Hey! That bird call sounds like a chickadee to me. If you're in the north-eastern coast of the states, it would likely be a black-capped chickadee. That's what we have in Eastern Canada :) Also here for the knitting content (Y)

    The Noro Kakigori yarn is single ply, and it is common for single ply to shift because it was only twisted one way and never plied. 2 ply yarn is more balanced because 2 strands are plied together and doesn't shift. Sometimes it might be over twisted as well. It has too much energy. I learned that from spinning. Fun times! Great podcast.

    Congrats on the 3,000 subscribers! Awesome! Your Ingrid sweater looks amazing. Love the color. You are a prolific knitter. Impressive. I’m still knitting my Sophie Shawl. I think I’m a slow knitter. But I don’t care. With all your changes in the Ingrid, I would not be able to figure all those changes out. Good on you. Carry on. You’re amazing.

    When I do the purls on a cardigan or something I tent to pick a smaller needle size, so the purls get more tight and uniform.

    Your Ingrid sweater looks great! I broke my yarn no buy as well BUT I am using more yarn from stash than I have brought in so I don't feel too badly over it. As long as I am reducing the amount of yarn sitting in stash I feel like I am making progress.

    • @Lisa-vb3gn

      It’s “works in progress”. The noun is plural-works instead of work. And the prepositional phrase is “in progress” which modifies works and doesn’t become plural. It’s like brothers in law or attorneys at law. 😁
