@@daltonred7774 each episode is under 20 minutes, you can watch several in a day and it won't take an hour of your time... You don't have to be hung up on catching up and just enjoy the journey leisurely when you do have time.
Of course no one has to watch one piece, it won't be to some people's taste - but if it seems fun to you, give it a chance and see for yourself.

The person who created the playlist you watched in this video added the 2nd Crazy Rainbow opening to hide the fact that one of the openings (7 I believe) got privated/deleted by RUclips, probably because of copyright.

I think the confusion here is some people label Crazy Rainbow as OP 7, and some call it OP 8, but it's not supposed to be on there twice.
It makes the most sense to call it number 8, and the actual number 7 is an alternate version of We Are (the first OP) performed by the Straw Hats (the main characters of the series)
honestly, more than a thousand chapters/episodes and it still gives you a lot of questions than answers..and i love it..one of, if not the cutest reaction I've seen..great job millie..keep it up
At the beginning of the series, the openings are very '90s' (logical, the manga series begins in 1997 and the anime in 1999), but as it progresses, the intros become richer, more complex, varied and cover many genres, achieving one of the bests collections of songs in the history of anime.
It may be daunting at first due to the sheer amount of episodes but if you started watching this, you'll definitely love it. It has adventure, amazing fights, heart felt moments and intriguing story. One warning though, this series will make you cry, a lot. So keep those tissues handy at all times when watching.
Its seems insanely long but as you get deeper the story just keeps getting better and it gets to the point where you just can't believe it can get any better yet it always happens
One Piece is my all time favorite anime. It has comedy, drama, mysteries, character development, very good back stories as well as good fights especially as you further in episodes because the animation keeps better and better. Its worth to watch this anime from the start even if there is 1000+ episodes. I will wait for your part 2 reaction of One Piece openings as well to your start of the anime. 🙂
The anime has a bad pacing, but trust me, the story, the charaters, the worldbuilding are one of the most enjoyable things ever in every medium
Outside of Dressrosa and a few parts of Skypiea and Thriller Bark, the pacing isn’t even particularly bad.

@@corynydam2361 ehh, I would say first half of wano, all of fishman, and a little bit of whole cake island are also a drag. And I would say the immediate aftermath after alabasta and thriller bark aren't particularly paced well either

I fell in love with your energy and your excitement, One Piece for many is part of their life, it has been around and still kicking for a very long time, definitely watch it, yes, it is long, but this anime has so many hidden messages and touches on so many problems that society faces, such as discrimination, racism, social inequality, etc..
This journey will bring out all kind of feeling, you will cry, laugh, feel frustrated at times, many goose bump moments, any feeling you can imagine, you will feel them while on this One Piece journey.
I just wished i could see your face as you discover this insane, vast world.

If I had to describe One Piece with one sentence, I'd say that it's a story that tries to break your heart so that it can rebuild it and fill it with hope.

@@fox_trot0214 That would be a quite superficial view on the story. Have you actually followed the story or are you just an occational watcher? Luffy gets along with most people who are honest. He despises betrayal and dishonesty. Though the series isn't just about Luffy. Each character is unique in its own way and I love the writing how their unique properties complement each other. Luffy's rubber against Enel, Usopp against Perona, Nami's ability to steal (buggy, Wapol, enies lobby, ...). Also the overall world building and how everything is somehow related and connected. World Gov., Marine, Garp, Dragon, Luffy, Sabo, Ace.
I have all episodes I think up to about 1050 on my HDD. The first 400 are in german (since I'm german), the remaining are in japanese with german subtitles. I just rewatched 1-400. In germany there was a long break after episode 400. That's when I started watching them in japanese. I do like the german dub but I have to say some scenes are more epic in japanese (even though I don't really understand jap.).
I've crazy how much happens just in the first 400 episodes. They entered the grandline around EP 61 and travelled around half the world in just 320 episodes where they reached the redline again. Though the second half gets more and more serious.

I do have watch and read all of One Piece and I totally agree with you that it is a complex story on many aspects
I love One Piece for the world building, the great characters development and the foreshadowing writing but I also love the humor and the funny side of it
I'm French and I watch it in French up to Whole Cake island and watch the rest in Japanese with subtitles (I do not understand japanese either)

Would you watch the 7 Straw Hat version of "We Are" in the next video? It was replaced by the second "Rainbow Star" lol.
That said would also watch the 1,000 episode version which I don't believe to be in this particular line up.
Edit: the 1,000 episode version is between opening 23 and 24 if you decide you want to watch it and watch it in order.

the op 1 to 4 are for me the greatest songs ever to go on an adventure

Opening 3 is one of my favorites, its called Hikari-E and the official English version is badass and one of my favorite japanese to english covers. it translates well without cramming too many words into the verses so it sounds almost exactly the same only you can understand it. highly recommend you check it out.

If you haven't recorded part 2 yet I recommend watching the version from the channel neobrane that has all but the last opening, it's high quality and has CC subtitles available with the lyric translation for all of them. The last opening is also in that channel but it's in a separate video.
I would strongly disagree as it artificially smoothens frames to make it 60fps, when the original is in 24fps, so all it does is make everything seem fast, which would ruin the feel of the original animation, and can induce motion sickness due to the strange movements in some parts that were made with lower than 24 frames as a stylistic choice being suddenly bumped up to 60 frames
@@ShankMugen I agree the artificial speed increase takes away from the quality of the animation at times and ultimately is a disservice to the openings

I'll be watching your next reaction, and just subbed to the channel. I've already looked and I'm glad that you're watching One Piece. There's no spoilers in it, but there's a video called "The Breathtaking World of One Piece", and I always recommend it to anyone who's on the fence on giving a 1000+ episode series like this a try. Even though you're watching it, I still recommend watching it, even if you don't do a reaction to it.

For a good while the openings tell you next to nothing, but by the end of this reaction video, spoilers do really begin to come into play. That said, the last few openings are where the real spoilers are, especially the current opening.
Looking a few things from the current opening, I'm not entirely certain us manga readers are safe from spoilers, anymore. Opening 23 spoiled manga readers, after all lol

One piece currently has 1093 episodes with episode 1094 coming out in around 12 and a half hours. BTW the manga is still On Going so and we know what the next arc is so its here to stay for a while longer.

One Piece in Anime mode started in 1999, different from the Manga which started from 1997 and One Piece is very interesting because it often discusses Politics, Human Trafficking, Corruption, Genocide, Racism, Black Markets, Unethical Human Experiments, Political Marriage, Human Slavery, Environmental Issues, Pandemics, Drugs, Absolute Government Power, World History Hidden By World Governments. So if people see One Piece without watching, they'll think that it's just an ordinary kid's anime 😉

You should absolutely watch One Piece. Even if you decide not to film reactions to it, you should still watch it. It is literally a modern day epic in all ways except that it isn't a poem.
I've gotta say I'm surprised you haven't seen One Piece yet, in my opinion it's easily the greatest story ever told! You seem like you'll really enjoy One Piece based on these first openings lol, it's certainly a journey worth taking especially while the straw hat pirates are still sailing!!
just a side note this playlist made a mistake for Opening 7. The original opening 7 is actually a remake of opening 1 that was sung by the voice actors of the main characters of the show as a way of celebrating the show's 10th anniversary at the time. Whoever made that playlist probably didn't notice the difference in the singing voices and assumed it was a copy of the first one. If you look it up separately you will find the correct one if you wanted to hear it on your own time. The first opening is very iconic for the series so it was often reused in remixes for anniversaries and other soundtracks within the show. The show has been ongoing for 26 years now and they still reuse that song for anniversaries within the show.
BTW One Piece will be getting a remake for the first saga, so if you can't stand 90's anime animation, maybe it's better to wait for the remake or you can watch the Live Action for good introduction

Not going to spoil their roles for the crew or backstories though. Those are just their names.^^ On a side note though, pay attention when Robin is on screen. Many people miss her powers in action, even though they were even on display in these openings you watched.;) There's some more obvious scenes though in the coming openings for you to see.

I was quite surprised that you recognized that the subtitles for opening 4 were in Brazilian Portuguese, and not Spanish, as people usually think, I was happy with that.
