In this interview, we feature two interesting and important stakeholders in Eggon Land - Baba Christoper Agbuton Envuladu - The Areŋ Engla (Dan Masanin) Gaji Esha, and Mr. Christopher Allu.
Our guests discussed different historical perspectives on the origin of the Eggon nation, as well as a breakdown of our ancient traditional institution. The role of the British colonialists in the formation of the current Eggon traditional institution.
Also, a snippet of the story of Engr. Cambell, the British mining spectator that was killed in 1912 in Wulko (details can be found here -gspforum.org/k..., that led to a high magnitude massacre of the Eggons.
In addition, a conversation on the erroneous view of the Eggon society as a classless & unorganized society before the arrival of the British colonialists. Discussion on the ancestry, relationship & commonalities of the Eggon people with the Jukun tribe in Nigeria, the major clans in Eggon land, the Aren Eggon stool from inception to date, the role of the various Eggon clans during the railway construction period, etc.
