Always love to see your tables. Just a few fields, a few buildings, and a few trees on this one, but put together it looks fantastic. Great stuff as always, boys.
Excellent report loved the characterisation at the start. Please do the withdrawal sequence when next it presents itself. Would like to see it done first hand.
No better way to learn the game - great table and minis by the way! I love it - looking forward to the next episode! Ausspreche Anerkennung!!! Cheers Fedja
That was an excellent game report / demonstration. Perhaps you should a Lard TV segment on the books on your shelves? I can't be the only one looking at the spines and thinking 'I've got that one', and 'what's that about?'....
Great video love the Lard TV concept and especially the comments window - catches minor misses in the heat of battle and allows for a few gratuitous jokes. One suggestion for next time for those of us Watching with Mother at home, could we have a quick run down of whats in the platoon/squads and what support you have taken?
Warbases make the dovecote and the greenhouse is Supreme Littleness Designs, both from Scotland, which says something for the artistic spirit of the nation.
Hi Guys' I find the bookcase interesting. You seem to have about 3-15 books I don't have. Although I do have the same bookcases... Any chance of a book list or a close up so I can just run a small check on anything I might have missed. (PS I have the 1940 so if you could include the bits behind it I would be vaguely grateful. Simon
Closeups of the battle is a must. Looks like whoever painted the figures but alot of effort into the job. And you can only really get a feel and appreciation for the setup with the closeup shots. Would rather watch the battle thru a series of closeups while you narrate the action as much as possible. You seem to do this more towards the end of the video. Again, with so much effort put into the great scenery and figures ,watching the game so we can see as much detail is suggested .
Rich, I'm interested in the mechanics you used to break off your attack. Did you just have a gentlemens' agreement you could stop there, or are there rules for withdrawing your survivors off table?
There are indeed rules for breaking off an attack. It all depends how far from your jump-off points you are and whether you're pinned or not. Several outcomes result, ranging from escaping to fight again immediately to being captured.
Good job! You are doing very well improving production quality of your videos! I am quite picky and the early ones of yours were a bit difficult for me to watch. The sound is now good, even for watching on a smartphone. The lighting is much better with the screen. Video quality is very much decent. There still are some camera angle and montage issues but I am sure it will all work out. Stylewise I would say that lard tv intro is a bit long which makes it look like an actual TV program (funny in a way). And also one day you might decide to do something with the background. The content and presentation are perfect, you are professional wargame presenters already. With a bit more of practice of working on camera you will learn to preserve dynamics of the show and also to start your videos quickly an excitingly. Keep on taking ideas from experienced battle reporters like Beasts of War and Tabletop Tactics (whose production is great despite the game they play:)). Keep it up, all the best to you, gentlemen!

Really looking forward to this! Great to see a campaign played by the Lardies themselves. Inspiring stuff!
Well done chaps! This is setting a fantastic scene and doesn’t look “clunky “ as you play through

Funnily enough, several people have asked that questions. Maybe I can do a series of short films going through a shelf at a time?
Please do, it is interesting to hear others reading and research material used.
@@tonyholton2869 Okay, please leave that with me. We will try to do some short pieces in the next few weeks.
Great episode Lads.
I’d recommend an additional Schutzen Squad for the 2nd attempt with an infantry gun, pregame barrage and a 5th Columnist :)
Glad I know who won before I’ve watched it

How did you know?

4:30 a.m. Tea, toast and a little Lard. Thanks gents!
Looks great and helping cement some rules.
Any idea which manufacturer the greenhouse and dovecote are from please?
Warbases make the dovecote and the greenhouse is Supreme Littleness Designs, both from Scotland, which says something for the artistic spirit of the nation.

Great stuff chaps.
Question on bring on the tank. Does the rail road count as a possible entry point?
No, the road is the only entry point.
Who models a bird house for their WW2 wargame? Lardies rule!
When can we see a I ain't been shot mum game?
Love to see the WWII games but please, more black powder! I'm a new viewer from Canada but I've quickly become a huge fan!
We are just finishing this campaign, then we will do some more Sharp Practice.
Great Game. Nicks French seem to have the Napoleonic Spirit to fight

Ah, just found it. Page 23 of At the Sharp End ! Thanks Rich.
Papa Ménage is the Man!
Great intro for the 1940 Blitzkrieg campaign - thank you Rich and Nick.
Just one observation, shouldn't Pappa Menage have a 3 man combat team????
Not sure what you mean Mad Monk? Pappa Menage Commanded a Groupe de Combat of twelve men.
Great video guys and great game:)
Rich still “cheats”😂
Awesome. Play a Bag the Hun game please.

I see you are playing with no shoes, thanks for wearing pants at least!
Lol. The boots I was wearing were clomping about on the wooden floor, so I took them off.
