Honestly it comes down to how long you want to own the truck! No sense in dumping money into something you want to sell, but you’ll keep it forever, go for it and have fun! This is my first diesel and first time using tunes. I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 6.7 Cummins 4x4 Crew Cab

I will say, 500+ is maxing out the factory turbo Cp3 and injectors, so I would definitely look into upgrading that as well, not to mention go ahead and put Pennys aside for a dd clutch, or atleast a hd clutch, I say these things from experience, go ahead and do pushrods when you do springs and studs
550 is about max for cp3 and turbo. Injectors can be stretched to 600 if absolutely needed. We’re going to upgrade the turbo when the time comes. For Andrew’s needs and wants. There’s really no reason to go wild with it

Hey Andrew can a F250/350 2005-2007 take a 2017+ F250/350 Carli Sway bar? Maybe some minor fab work/drilling taping? I am rebuilding a 2006 F250 and want to upgraded it the best I can. I notice Carli doesn't have ball joints for the Superduty's. Can the Dodge Carli ball joints fit in the Ford?
I am doing a fummins conversion.
Thanks!
Any suggestion for a tune or plug and play for my 05 ? It’s a tow and fun truck . A lot of stuff out there trying to pick out something that works well
Thanks 😊
I talked to rob or what ever his name is that wrote mm3 and asked if his 12 valve tune saved fuel and he said “ Theoretically” but can’t back it
Will your truck smog after these tunes? I assume you set it back to #1 or unload the V3 altogether.?
Hello, I am currently purchasing a efi live tune kit from NRE so I can put my truck on a diet, I am mostly just doing it for longevity and long distance driving. I am only looking to doing a stock tune so I am not hurting my motor, computer or transmission. Is this the best way to go for a tuner and egr/dpf kits ? This is my first diesel and first time using tunes.
I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 6.7 Cummins
4x4 Crew Cab
Are you going to do the cab over America lights again? Did you find they were worth it?
I thought they were great on the old truck, but I’m torn on the look!
Not related to the tune, but do they make a suspension system for a second generation Ram 1500s? Or is it exclusive to the 2500 and 3500 models?
What's the part number for this efi live fly to the wheel on a 07 5.9 cummins common rail? 🤔
Do you have a promo code for NRE? I’m looking into getting a tuner and if it help you out it’s a win win
Just let him know I sent you!
Going with this exact set up what do u recommend transmission wise? I have an 06 same truck as u had before with the auto trans
With an auto trans you’d want to do a stage 1-2 build from your typical builder. I personally think Randy’s does a nice job with the 48re transmissions!
I just bought a 2017 6.7 3500 megacab and looking for a super legit tuner to buy an EFI live system from along with the correct tunes for my truck. Can you give me the tuners contact info that you used. I'm also going to get full exhaust and air intake setup. Looking to get advice on the best brand exhaust and intake as well. Thanks so much for your help.
what tires are those? are they rated for 140mph?
Any recommendations for tuners on the 05 Ram 5.9
What injectors would you recommend for this setup?
Where can I find a 2006 5.9 tuner they all have 2007 6.7 and up
Any suggestions for a 2004.5, 6speed 5.9?
I have the smarty sr on it now and I’m pretty happy with it. Just curious
We would do HP tuners on that year
@@NREPerformance Is that 1 tune or a switch-on-the-fly multi-tune setup?
i just bought a stock 07 5.9 cummins mega cab dually and i want a little more pep but not enought to hurt the drive train, will these tunes be ok untill i buy upgrades?
What radio do you have?
Need this on mine!
You too!💪🏽
What mirrors are those? They look different than my 05’s…. One of the few things I hate about the 05 is the flat mirrors make it terrible to see out of. Any ideas on changing that?
And what kind of tuner do you recommend for a 2005 manual 6 spd?
This truck has the 1aauto 4th gen conversion mirrors! I have them linked in my color matching how to video! As for tuning, HP makes a great setup for the 03-05 Rams!
Are you still running the straight pipe exhaust on that truck or did you put the car back on?
Cat is back on.
@@JustDiesels man. It still sounds pretty good without a full delete.
Me with my 2004.5 getting crushed 3 minutes into the video. hahahahha I have a different tune setup but I like the clean design of the EFI Live.
I have an 05' with auto trans. What do you recommend?
Appreciate your content.
If you want to tune you’ll definitely want a built trans! I’d recommend Randy’s, Tier 1, or a local builder in your area.
With the tuner, do you have issues getting the trucked smogged?
Just flash back to stock, smog, and re-tune after!
What the handle for those rims?
But how do you install the switch? Where do you hook the switch up to?
Your OBD2 port!
I like hearing that EFI helped with your throttle hang when you let off. Can’t stand that on my truck.
Less of a big deal on a manual, but it drove be nuts off road on my previous auto trans third gen!
Dude it sucked so much but I got used to it. I just got efi live from nre and it is so much more fun to drive now that the throttle hang is totally gone. I forgot how bad it actually was since I got used to it
How are you still liking the tunes?
Absolutely love them. I'm on revision two now that I have more supporting mods, and it's a whole different truck compared to stock. I could never go back.
@@JustDiesels I ended up ordering tunes from nick. Truck so far runs great. Need to order a clutch though haha, can’t really get on it yet, clutch ain’t happy 😂
Do you still have your 2nd gen or did I miss a video?
Still have it! Need to do an update on it actually!
Are you running 500hp on the stock transmission?
Yeah stock G56 with a Valair dual disk clutch.
How much does an average tune cost? Not the parts but programming?
Check out the link posted. $905 with the switch
@@NREPerformance does the EFI Live allow you to recalibrate the speedo for different tire size than stock?
@@2DodgeGarage Nope
Is there anything remotely like this for my 2001 2nd gen? All I see are just plug in tuners
On those the Edge Attitude or Smarty are actually solid choices for most people. If you want to go all out, 1badvp44 makes some killer tunes. My 99 will be getting an edge attitude.
We can tune it via mm3
@@NREPerformance How so? Everything I see on your website is for 2003+. Thanks
Gonna be needing a new clutch soon
It’s going in as we speak!
All in the plans! This should be a very cool truck when it’s done! Everything but the injectors and turbo are being done as I type this!
@@JustDiesels I’m excited man, living vicariously through you now cause I was too broke to keep doing this to mine lol
550 is about max for cp3 and turbo. Injectors can be stretched to 600 if absolutely needed.
We’re going to upgrade the turbo when the time comes. For Andrew’s needs and wants. There’s really no reason to go wild with it
My tow tune on 16 ram 3500 is fuel hog
We can fix that
That doesn’t look carb approved
Shhh
@@JustDiesels I assume your in CA😂 price of diesel must be outrageous unless you use the cherry flavor kind
God i wish mine was a 5 speed.
This is not related to your video, but i am watching “Catch me if you can” right now and i am at the scene where the fbi agent is eating breakfast and i am 98% convinced that you are the server/kid pouring the cup of coffee and lets him know that barry allen is the flash. Super random and off topic but i just want to know if that is actually you
😂😂 that is sadly not me… if I was making actor money I’d have a way bigger truck collection!
Oh ya.. now i remember. Are people still deleting? I wanna do it, but I dont wanna have to undo everything in a year when our dictator decides to go after individuals... so my question is, is this still safe to do, or we asking for a huge fine?
So I’m about to pay $899+ tax for this damn tuner. It better do something special
Pretty standard pricing for custom EFI live and an Auto Cal from anyone honestly.
