    Allen-Bradley's had retentive timers since the 80s. In the SLC-100 line, it was the ONLY kind of timer you could have!

    How do you know what type of PLC to select / choose for each project? Can a project be created / program written without having the hardware selected?

      The best way to start is to firstly take a training course to ensure you are building a correct foundation to work from.

      Yes, it is on demand and we use V13 on the training course but most versions of TIA are very similar

    Hi sir,
    Could you do a video where we receive analog inputs from the factory floor eg: RTD signals, Thermocouple inputs . and can you make a video of how it is communicated with the PLC/ SCADA via a Modbus or a Profibus network. This will help us students to get a clearer idea about data acquisition.

    • @ScantimeAutomationTraining
      @ScantimeAutomationTraining  4 года назад +2

      We can have a look at this however a lot of this is covered on our hands-on training so we can't cover everything.

      These must need updating but you can always go to our website and find the training from there

      We get a lot of people from the UAE and Saudi Arabia enrolling onto our Siemens training courses, and you can't really go wrong with Siemens!

      Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get the chance to work with Delta PLCs enough to form a solid verdict!

    Hi there: Do you know of a converter utility for Siemens Ladder logic converting to Structure Text?

    • @ScantimeAutomationTraining
      @ScantimeAutomationTraining  4 года назад

      Hi Andy, I know in STEP7 Professional, you could do this with STL by changing the view of the Programming Language, I would need to take another look at TIA Portal to see if that feature is available or if there is a stand alone converter.

    Shame i don't have a PLC to learn with. Until then, this video is useless to me.
