The final Fighter's History game was, oddly enough, an SFC exclusive, but what a fantastic coda it was to the short-lived series! Hope you enjoy the translation!
Ayyyy glad to see you tackle a translated playthrough of this hidden gem! So entertaining. We need a complete fan translation patch for this game so badly.
Mizoguchi is a great character. He has an excellent set of normals, just regular good straightforward attacks. That headbutt is awesome. That being said the campaign storyline... It's so detailed and well done but it's so completely irrelevant! What a weird game!
Oh wow, thisns pretty cool. Never saw it before, but holy hell that first chick's grab moves are insane. Crazy how ya line up your special atk perfectly during the stun or youre toast. Great stuff.
@@NintendoComplete Right?! I almost lost my mind during that fight. Finally said screw it & used a save state when I got a win in. Legit vacuum grappler.
I might not haven't seen and played this video game on SNES, but I would love to have a chance to play it anytime it's kinda like Street Fighter reference! 👍🏿👌🏿
@@NintendoComplete well thanks for clearing the mysterioum of this story line. At least it original than the usual "I got to be stronger" storyline haha
@@hanchimanYou're quite welcome. I thought that the story matched the goofiness of Mizoguchi's character well. He's 28 and still in high school, so he's clearly not playing with a full deck.
@@NintendoComplete Haha, I always thought he was like 17 or so, as he was kind of based of these "Manly delinquent student" manga genre that was popular in the 80's and 90's who all look like big muscle 30 year old but claim to be teenagers. Like Sakigake! Otokojuku or Osu Karatebo or even River City Ransom
Thanks for the translation. After this, whenever I play Mizoguchi in the other games, the goofy song that plays constantly in story mode will sound off in my head. Incidentally, I tried this game's story mode but instead of running into Marstorius and his wife after the Karnov fight, I ran into Matlock instead who got punched 30 feet in the air but everything else seemed like the one in the video. That was on default difficulty. When I tried it again on hardest, Marstorius and his wife showed up. I'm wondering if you get different dialogue depending on difficulty...or is it random?
It changes based on the difficulty. I think there are 3 different scenes. My memory is fuzzy on it, but iirc, they change at levels 1, 3, and 5. Couldn't tell you who the other one is without going back to it, though.
To me the punch and kick's impact sound is a big let down. They lack any sense of impact. A big mistake on a game of the fighting genre IMHO. Also, I always chuck a little when the hadouken-like special is released: "takeanotherlookatthat", like they were sending a hidden message to Capcom's copyright lawyers.

It made me day dream a lot back when I was 15.
More over was the SECOND episode of Fighter's History SNES continuity
Rom please
@@eltortu6743 There isn't one. I edited the video, not the game.
ok

The fact that Mizoguchi eventually made it into The King of Fighters is incredible.
The Exercise mode is a lil' fascinating, it's like an early take on Combo Trails which are more commonplace in FGs today.
That slick how Data East added Chelnov character from a old Arcade game and on the Sega Genesis
Sorta like how Capcom pulled all its obscure characters for _Marvel Vs Capcom._ Never heard of Captain Commando before that!
Never knew about this 3rd chapter! Thanks.
Me neither
nice done with the overlay and thank you so much for the video 😀
Thanks, and np! :)
You;ve done a great job, hope there were somebody able to make a hack/patch with your translation. Very nice, I wanted to know the ridiculous story 😅🤣

Pretty good Street Fighter clone from the '90s!

Ryoko is so obnoxious the way she sucks you in like a tornado when she's 1/4 of the screen away and then blows out half of your life with a body slam.
@@NintendoComplete Right?! I almost lost my mind during that fight. Finally said screw it & used a save state when I got a win in. Legit vacuum grappler.
The moral of Mizoguchi's Story Mode is that, "Don't try taking no takoyaki and sign from no manly fighter. It would be a costly one."
Ryu like character in the first part he's still cool though 💪🏽 👍🏽.
Looks like a little bit more polished than original Fighters history
Mizoguchi WINS!
That is one creepy clown. “Talking to this guy is so uncomfortable”. Very literal, but comedic gold nonetheless. (27:33)
Oh man, he really is a skeeze. But talk about comedic, just check out those paintings in his stage's background. They're so freaky.
Karnov is the greatest!!!!

Street Fighter taking what Silver Age comic writers were taking.
Super video.
After so many years of playing this and wondering what the story about.. so it was just a quest for finding a damn octopus sign?
Great, isn't it? 😂

Я про эту игру и не знал. Очень похожа на Street Fighter и Final Fight
52:00 Aw, it didn’t end with him getting gunned down by a helicopter offscreen.
A nuke might've been funny too, but like in a grotesquely tasteless sorta way.
@@NintendoComplete Radio-activity is no joke - especially when it’s being poured over many people, a coal miner named Chelnov was among them.
@JFJD Oh yeah, I know. That's what I meant it being super tasteless. Wasn't the character's name a direct reference to the Chernobyl meltdown?
Best dialogue, lol. Excellent gameplay.
Tyvm!
Well, now I want to give takoyaki a try!
It's really, really good when it's fresh and hot. Not a fan of the mayonnaise sauce, though.
Best final boss ever.
lol, funny game! The dialogs are priceless!
Oh wow. It's a story driven arcade fighter
Imagine karnov from bad dudes vs dragon ninja was the mascot for this 2d fighting game.
