US core CPI expected to have eased slightly in March | Michael Kramer

  • Michael Kramer, the founder of Mott Capital Management, explores the key levels on US government bonds, dollar pairs and global stock indices ahead of today’s US consumer price inflation data for March, due out at 1.30pm (UK time). Analysts expect that consumer prices grew 3.4% in the year to March, up from 3.2% in February. However, growth in core CPI - which excludes volatile items such as food and energy - is expected to have eased to 3.7% year-on-year, down from 3.8% in February.
