I'm planning to stitch only a few blocks from Halloween at HH and making it into a smaller piece. And no such thing as too many Halloween projects, ever ;) Thanks for the parade.
It’s so awesome to get to revisit your projects!! 💜 Don’t beat yourself up over needing to get back to projects. You have a VERY full life and when you go back to work it’s going to be even fuller! They will always be there!
💜OMG! You have quite a collection….so varied…lovely. Also love your attitude: this not a race, take your time. I am always in such a hurry Maybe it is my age…certainly will not have enough years to finish everything…..and I keep buying….cannot help it. I have watched you from the beginning and love that we are neighbors. Such pleasant videos while I stitch. Thanks Megan. See you next time. Bonnie
Thank you so much Bonnie! I feel like I need to plan a get together this summer with the local stitchers. Wouldn’t that be so fun. I hope god willing I have enough years left to finish at least what I have now. Haha 🙏🏻 🩷
💜 Great WIP parade, Megan! Loved seeing some of those beautiful projects we haven't seen in a while. Also, got some fun reading ideas from your bookshelves!
Megan, this was so much fun to watch. I have seen so many of your projects that I would LOVE to stitch. I have never done a Quaker or a Sampler. I would love to see how you store your floss, are you willing to share? The baby sounds are wonderful to hear.
💜 for the blue variegated floss, if you are still searching for a bird monochromatic pattern i know there is one by modern folk embroidery, i think it's called Wings of the dove, or something like that. I know evertote sell de papers charts if you preferred to stitch that way :)
💜 Your WIP’s are fantastic. I just keep my WIP’s that I don’t work on, I usually come back around eventually. The only time I have abandoned a project is when I have made a total mess of it and I can’t find my mistakes. 😂 Love hearing the baby!
💜🎹 I couldn't find the Purple Heart emoji, (auto correct capitalized it, which is somewhat apropos as we are close enough to D-Day that we are still seeing news reports about it (at least here in the other Washington we are)) and my first time through I saw the piano keys and I love playing the piano -- I started taking lessons again when I retired -- so I thought I'd leave that one if I didn't find the heart colored purple (see how cleverly I avoided the AI of it all), and then I thought what the heck, she'll probably appreciate a little song too! So, I've been on a floss tube diet, a fast really, since before you had your baby because he's news to me! so Congratulations!! But then I had a preemie grandson November 30 and he's kept me busy! I am still very much a monogamous stitcher, I have a couple of starts, but once I'm in something I hate to leave it! Which begs the question, how do I have any starts then? I'm not sure.... probably SALs, I set aside what I started for a SAL... Anyway, I enjoyed seeing all your WIPS! My daughter only had 6 weeks of maternity leave -- new job, no pay -- which meant she would have had to go back to work before her baby's due date! HR told her they couldn't extend without a doctor's note, I told her to tell the doctor she really needed that note and fortunately, the doctor was completely on board and signed off on another 6 weeks, which is still so much less civilized that Europe! sigh.... Of course we had nothing when I had my kids, we had to save up our sick leave and vacation time.... But my grandson is a chubby little bundle of curiosity so it's all good!
Thank you so much for your kind comment! Congratulations on becoming a grandmother. He sounds just amazing. I am so so glad you’ve picked up piano again especially hearing that it’s something you love. That is so special. I’m sure your grandson will love listening to your music 🎶. I wish your daughter had more time with her son. It’s so sad how we have to get right back to work. 😞
Hi! Wow, I had forgotten some of those pretty projects you’d been working on…amazing variety, too. It was so precious hearing Malakai making his small baby sounds in the background…I’m so glad you left that in the video. 🥰💜 Take care, my sweet friend, and enjoy your time with the little ones! Meline
💜 I love your openness about not being able to see small counts… been struggling with that lately myself! Also, I’ve been planning to make the mother’s tree chart myself, let’s do it together! SAL time! 💜
Loved hearing your sweet baby, mine just turned 2 and I can't get over how fast it goes!!! Love your stitching and sending all the momma good vibes to you. Also my perfectly normal eyeballs went bad when I turned 25 right after my oldest daughter was born. Welcome to the magnification club girl, will change your life and I can do 56 now. Enjoy the remainder of maternity leave!!
I LOVE my magnifying glasses LOL 😂. Seriously saving grace! I can’t believe how quickly the time passes too. Amira is 6 now and it blows my mind because I feel like she was just a little baby only a year ago 🥹🥲. Time is a thief. Malakai is our last so I’m trying to enjoy all of it.
First time viewing your FT. I loved the halloween wips. I also have many. Thank you for the fabric and thread idea for Silowitches. Your start is beautiful. 💜
💜 LOVE all of your projects! We have several in common. I had forgotten that I have that Traditional Samplers book. I got it out and enjoyed looking through it again.
💜💜💜 sorry I am so late watching ur wip parade! Life kinda took over recently so I've been missing out on stitching n all my favorite flosstubes... been watching every free second to try n catch up! 😂 Love all of your wips especially the fabrics u chose! Happy stitching!! 🐈⬛🪡❤️
You have so many lovely projects going! Enjoy them and your kids - these moments are so precious with them and before you know it, they'll be grown. 💜💜
💜 That was a great wip parade. On the purple Quaker on the purple fabric I think you could switch it to 2 over 2 and maybe the motifs you have done just do the top leg of the stitch so that it would look the same. Either way it is a beautiful project!
💜 thank you so much for the lovely WIP parade. You do such a great job and I appreciate your effort!,, congrats again on the baby and I look forward to future progress. Your channel is one of my faves.
I love all your projects, especially Rose Quaker! You inspired me to start that one, and my goal is to stitch one motif and letter each month. Loving it so far!
Ode to Autumn is in my TBS list, and I may just have to start it sooner rather than later. Your fabric color is PERFECTION for that piece so im gonna search for something similar for mine! 🧡
Hi. Just love your ‘Remember Me’ from Theresa Kogut and ‘The Bird Sampler’ from Brenda Keyes. Those big flowers! Love hearing your little guy in the background. I remember those early days where your memory goes; and how I would lose track of time. Be easy on yourself! 💜
Ooo so excited for a long video! I saw it pop up yesterday, but I had a wild hair to rearrange my bedroom while hubby was at work so I told myself I’d save it for today 😍😍. I have a Stitchy project, coffee and my baby is taking his morning nap in his swing right next to me. 💕
@@TheSeattleStitcher 🤣🤣 that’s awesome! I still love the white winter moth. First saw it back when you first shared it, it’s definitely on my list and I’m really loving the teals that are in it. Because like you, I thought it was white & black. And there’s another- I can’t remember the name but it’s a Halloween Quaker on purple I believe. I really want to get that chart too.
💜 such a fun review of your WIPS! The idea of a rainbow quaker wall is amazing. An idea for your blue quaker for that wall is Quaker Birds by The Mindful Needle. It's set on the diagonal and would look great with your other quaker stitches. I have it planned to stitch it in blue threads, and am leaning toward Colour & Cotton Battleship for it. Can't wait to see what you choose! (and the baby sounds in the background are adorable - keep 'em coming!)
Megan! Greetings from Dallas!! Just started following your channel. Had heard about you from Cam and Brijin and decided to give you a go. So enjoyable! Loved seeing your WIP parade and hearing your son gooing in the background. Thanks so much!! 💜
Your videos are so cozy and delightful! I really love your stitchy style and your honesty- I’m totally sticking around to keep watching! You’re fairly local to me too :)💜💜
💜 gorgeous projects!! I always love watching you go through what you’ve been stitching on. I feel like Good Intentions may be on my list for something I need to start. I want a stitchy inspired piece for my stitching area! I would probably do a color conversion as well and just put colors where I think they look best. Also loving your kit era!! I just bought a new kit last week. It’s called Red Parisol which is so special because I’m Japanese!
Megan, thanks for sharing your beautiful WIPs with us! I loved seeing ALL the Quakers you've got going, and I think the rainbow wall is an incredible idea 😍 I hope the last little bit of maternity leave is full of sweet memories with your son. Happy stitching 💜
I would take that Bookshelf AND the purple one, and finish them with love!! Sorry you have to go back to work soon, always too soon, though I love our WA state leave program for you current mommies. ❤
LOL I’m so glad you said you wanted the kids for Halloween… because the second you pulled them out I thought “creepy”…. I think you would love them for Halloween!!!
Your cross stitch pieces are so beautiful! Every WIP demonstrates your superb workmanship. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing them all. I loved your Summer Quaker when you first showed it and had to immediately order. Not too far yet, but enjoying it very much. Yours looks gorgeous!
U have some beautiful wips. No shame in working with Aida!! Enjoy your adorable son & all his nèedy demands, he will be mr independent all too soon! 💜💜💜
I think most of these comments will start with … don’t apologize for the sound of your son .. it’s such a lovely addition, as he grows up he will probably make his debut by toddling over to you while you are in the middle of filming lol. With the few pieces you are not keen on continuing with put them as a kit on one of the selling sites, life is to short to struggle through a piece that doesn’t excite you. I would have bought the Book Shelf from you but I ran out and picked up the pattern and linen and floss when you showed it originally. 💜 hope you & your family have a great weekend.
To get through the lassie and laddie (probably not saying that right) for multiple color changes I just do multiple needles so I stitch one park it in the fabric so the next color park it and so forth so you aren’t taking the one needle on and off.
Uuuh, about the recommendations you asked for for that blue floss you have, I thought about maybe one of the season quakers by Jardin Privé. I recently finished the Spring quaker and it was a delight to stitch, very potato-chippy, as some knitters say about row repeats, haha. I did just check for the Summer one (since you described the color as a summer blue) and it *also* has birds and flowers hahah hope this helps! :)
First time viewer (and subscriber) here. Really enjoyed the time with you! And especially enjoyed the baby. It was really a joy to see your Quaker projects as those are my favorite too! What is your LNS in Seattle? Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

I really want to power through Summer Quaker because I want the finished product - but totally agree with you that it feels too dense with all the called for fabric and floss. 💜
Omg yes. Like can I just buy it FFO’d already 💀🤣. It’s so thick like a rug man. It’s so pretty tho. It’s hard not to just restart it 2x2 instead of the full strand.
Megan, please tell me how you’re keeping track of stitches on the dimensions stocking. I’m working on mine now, and can’t seem to get a good enough scan for Mark Up. 37 weeks preggo also, love seeing your progress with kiddos too! 🎉
Hello! I have a really good scanner at home and I scanned the pages and I mark them off manually with a highlighter as I go. I don’t know how many stitches I have left and all the statistics tho so that sucks. But if you email dimensions they will send you a PDF of the stocking chart you have. They just want you to prove that you purchased the kit by taking a picture of it and sending it to them. Also congratulations!! 🎊
💜Great Video - I think you should hang on to your wips that you don’t like as much - a lot of times you’ll see one on someone’s floss rube that can reignite your love for them.
Lacey and Laddie are such cute patterns. Wow all your stitching on your projects are beautiful. The Valdani thread looks great and bright. Looks pretty. What length do you cut your Vicki Clayton Silks? Thanks ,enjoyed 😊
I unwind the whole bobbin and do the same thing you would do with a DMC how you take both ends and hold them together and keep folding it down. I’m not sure the exact length that makes the threads but it works great for me!
I love yoir projects. With your bookshelf you are in a perfect place to just leave it as is, it looks very pretty at this point ❤ and if you dont enjoy stitching On it anymore than why bother continuing?
💜 Enjoyed your company while I stitched. Lovely projects!
Gorgeous WIPS. I love hearing your son, so adorable 💜

💜 I really enjoyed your wip parade. This year’s mystery sampler from Fox and Rabbit might be a good project for your blue variegated floss.

Thank you 😊

I love yoir projects. With your bookshelf you are in a perfect place to just leave it as is, it looks very pretty at this point ❤ and if you dont enjoy stitching On it anymore than why bother continuing?
Good idea! Maybe just stitching half of it is good enough.
