My theory about how they turned into nextbots:
I have a theory that the people in the Missing Person broadcast didn't die in the mall on accident. It was on purpose. All the nextbots were people trapped in the mall when it shut down. And they basically commited s****de to just get away from it. But instead turned into the horrible monsters (nextbots). The nextbots that they turned into probably has something to do with how they died. There's more proof for this cuz the pole that hangs from the ceiling in the mall could have something to do with the death of someone (maybe they knocked themselves out with it).
