I Don't understand why the hell everybody keeps putting Rengoku at the bottom of the list. Just because he died early in the series doesn't mean he should be at the bottom. We should also consider the fact that he died fighting with the freaking upper 3, without unlocking the demon slayer mark. Imagine how powerful he would be if he had unlocked ds mark ‼️
Rengoku was definitely a strong and very skilled Hashira, but I think when you compare his swordsman skills and accuracy to people like Gyomei and Sanemi (absolute legends), or Giyuu (who created the 11th form of his water breathing technique, and was the best Hashira at defense), it does highlight some of Rengoku’s weaknesses. Yeah, Rengoku did fight Akaza all alone, but Akaza was playing with him and was purposely not going all out. I’d also like to address that Muichiro was only 14 and went up against upper moon five, all alone, and managed to kill Gyokko. That’s quite impressive for his experience level. It’s for that reason that I think a lot of people rank Rengoku as like 5th or 6th best out of the Hashira. He’s a favourite of mine and many people, but if you’re basing it off of skills and power, then that’s most likely why he ranks in the middle or lower end.

Also if Gyomei held on his own very long against Kokushibo (Upper Rank 1 which technically is the strongest), then of course he'll be stronger than Akaza as he's the strongest Hashira. So yeah Gyomei would be much stronger than Akaza *If you seen his battle between him and Kokushibo*

I Don't understand why the hell everybody keeps putting Rengoku at the bottom of the list. Just because he died early in the series doesn't mean he should be at the bottom. We should also consider the fact that he died fighting with the freaking upper 3, without unlocking the demon slayer mark. Imagine how powerful he would be if he had unlocked ds mark ‼️

Rengoku was definitely a strong and very skilled Hashira, but I think when you compare his swordsman skills and accuracy to people like Gyomei and Sanemi (absolute legends), or Giyuu (who created the 11th form of his water breathing technique, and was the best Hashira at defense), it does highlight some of Rengoku’s weaknesses.
Yeah, Rengoku did fight Akaza all alone, but Akaza was playing with him and was purposely not going all out.
I’d also like to address that Muichiro was only 14 and went up against upper moon five, all alone, and managed to kill Gyokko. That’s quite impressive for his experience level.
It’s for that reason that I think a lot of people rank Rengoku as like 5th or 6th best out of the Hashira. He’s a favourite of mine and many people, but if you’re basing it off of skills and power, then that’s most likely why he ranks in the middle or lower end.
