Wow, this is absolutely amazing! The original is fantastic on its own, but this is in a league of its own. The opening riff already sold me on this, and the rest just kept going. Well done.
The art actually is similar to two characters I made years ago in middle school. It's now become an expansive multiverse but this song fits their jurney ao well. Two people searching across worlds for meaning and a cure to their immortality. Each haunted by the moster they have become with one missing the part of his heat and soul that is able to love and feel happyness, the other is a fragment of that heart now it's own entity seprate from the other. Despite this, there are many moments where they show their humanity as they hate optession knowing exactly what helplessness feels like and not wishing it on others. I've shelved it for 10 or so years because I'm not yet skilled enough to bring the story to life how I imagin it but damn does this not help me want to dive back into it.

Its something that has never had any love whatsoever, forgotten totally by everyone, but a classic niche thing.
To throw an absolute curveball in making epic versions of songs, would think it'd be awesome to do Block Rockin Beats by Chemical Brothers or Intergalactic by Beastie Boys, very curious if you could pull it off (purely instrumental preferred)

Honest critique. As someone who has enjoyed many of your songs, and REALLY wants to enjoy this one…..the singer kind of spoils this for me. The voice needs some bass. And it just doesn’t feel like there is a lot of soul being pushed into it. I know that second part is a bit vague but in the original song it really feels like the singer is going all out with his voice. These seems a little….phoned in maybe? Really like the music. Excellent adaptation on that part of the track!
