Bunny Topiary for Easter Decor - Dollar Tree Easter Crafts

- Easter is just around the corner and coming fast and we're starting our Dollar Tree Easter crafts. So I’ve got a fun Dollar Tree DIY Easter Bunny Topiary that will rock your Easter décor! It’s made completely of Dollar Tree items and is really easy to do. Craft like a designer and have this adorable Easter bunny to decorate your porch or add to your homedecor. Let's see what we can make with Dollar Tree 2020 goodies!

2 Betty Crocker Strainers
1 Tinsel Covered Easter Bunny Face
3 Bunches Pink German Flowers
Garden Moss (lots!) or Cotton Balls
1 Flower Pot (optional but cute!!)
Wide Ribbon
Rocks or other Heavy Objects as Weights
Brown or Black Pipe Cleaners for Whiskers (optional)
Pom Poms for Nose and Eyes (optional)
Twine Ball for Tail (optional)
Spray Adhesive
Scissors

I really dont celebrate Easter but I just love this topiary. Yeah, my family is always saying I'm definitely a horder...I save everything from cardboard and news paper to jars, and cans and spare parts of everything.

That is really great idea, thank you for sharing. Just a suggestion about the ears you could wire the ears through the strainer bowl with glue, before you glue the bowls together just for extra security for the bunny ears.

If you put rocks inside your pot put a cardboard piece on the bottom or a round circle of wood then you could turn the pot upside down and glue the bunny on that and that would look a lot better and I think it would hold up a lot better

You can place rip ties on top of the strainer before you glue them together. Then after, when it's time for ears you can zip tie first and then glue.

I totally understand having someone else organize for you. Luckily I enlisted my sons help but, had to tell them where to put things. I recently got a cute little Grey and white cottage she shed from my hubby. Im very particular but still needed help.

Very cute!! I would suggest using zip ties to hold the ears onto the colander.
Thanks you Sandra! I'm not sure how zip ties could attach because the ears are not flush with the top of the colander.... maybe on the outer part if the ear?

The bowls make the bunny nice and plump!
I was thinking that zip ties might be a good idea for putting the ears together and for attaching each ear. So just 3 small zip ties would be enough. Good idea about using cheaper hot glue.
Glad you like it Frieda! The ears don't sit flat in the top of the head so I'm not sure how you could attach the zip ties... maybe on the corners?? Anyway, thanks for being a fabulous Glue Dot!!!
