Evolution of Hulk's NON-MOVIE Appearances & Costumes (Live Action)

- Ever since the Hulk’s first appearance in 1962, one could imagine how difficult it’d be to translate the larger-than-life character into reality. While films have been able to use CGI to adapt the Hulk onto the big screen; it’s been tricky to interpret the character outside of major motion pictures; like for a theme park or event. So, I’ll be looking over the evolution of Hulk’s vastly different appearances outside of movies.
A majority of the images were found on Facebook/Flickr.

Fun fact! Misty Rosas is the child hulk suit actor and she was also the same suit actor for kuiil the “I have spoken” guy from the mandalorian!
I remember seeing Marvel Universe live back in 2015 and being impressed by The Hulk's appearance and especially the build-up to Hulk finally showing up.
8 or 9 year old me was a little disappointed that Hulk wasn't completely shirtless, but they still loved the show.
It'a sow interesting how universal seemingly integrated the hulk to their cast of classic monsters... imagine if did had made their dark universe and somehow got the hulk amongst all the other classic monsters, lol.

I wish Marvel Mania made a comeback. Since it was a part of it's past. I think 2000's, especially the very end of the 1990's. And the early 2000's, felt like brand new to me. I have never heard of Marvel Mania before. I will miss Universal Studios owning the Hulk film and tv rights.

In 1979, Morton's had a commercial for desert pies where a guy turns into the Hulk. Great video!
Oh yeah that's a great take on a Hulk look without the use of a bodybuilder (especially since it was during the TV series era) but since it's not an official Hulk/Marvel ad its not included here.

It’d be cool to see you made videos on all of the marvel characters that got official costumes outside of the movies, but maybe not Spider-Man since Godzilla Mendoza already made a good video on that topic. I’d really want to see what costumes Iron Man had.
I remember seeing that older one at 6:20 while looking at classic iron man costumes on google images, and honestly being scared by how weird it looks.
Also, at 9:15, you can see iron man peaking out behind hulk. I’ve seen a full picture of it before and love to see the pentagon design brought entirely into costume form.
Oh yeah there are plenty of other cool and niche costumes that were made for these appearances programs. I haven't thought about looking at other suits but now I'm intrigued.
After some rudimentary research, I figured out that the 1st Iron man costume was present at the Macy’s thanksgiving parade of 1988. Apparently that’s what the designers thought his helmet looked like…
That last one I get it they wanted to tie it to Endgame, but practically, it does not work. When I saw that video, then I was like O.K... I mean, it's Hulk, but from a 100 yards away, it probably looks like a big guy, lol. Too bad they chose that look. - Luke

Sure disney has the money for a animatronic face for 2021 hulk but had that been made that will most likely have been uncomfortable for the suit actor even head/face protection can't protect him from feeling that pressure against the face also it will just make the suit a bit heavy than it already is.
If they went with the more traditional hulk in pants no shirt with one permanent non moveable expression with Mark ruffalo's voice playing. It will look stupid ruining the illusion for kids today.
So good thing they brought quantum suit hulk.
It doesn't have to be an actor in a suit. I think a complete animatronic similar to Universal's King Kong or Donkey would work.
It wouldn't need to be out in the open either as Hulk being hidden behind debris or in a chamber would help hide his animatronic non-moveable parts.
Plus, it doesn't need to be Banner Hulk. Savage Hulk would work well in not having to use Ruffalo's voice or dialogue as he'd just be growling and roaring.

I honestly forgot about that but I wouldn't really count it. This topic is mainly just focused on Hulk's appearances outside of any major movie or TV program.
I only talk about Ferrigno's Hulk for as much as I do because it would feel wrong not to and he's the most popular example of a non-CGI Hulk.
Why there wasn’t a meet and greet from the hulk marvel 2014 show ! That would be cool but that stupid avengers space suit 😡 so stupid totally disrespectful for the character appearance! I wish I had a picture of the mall appearance 1980 hulk Miami appearance at the Omni International mall during Easter along with Spider-Man!! I was 2 years old and I was afraid of the 1977 -1981 costume!
