I’m glad there’s other videos out there to show how to put it back together bro?! And during the taking it apart you got a put some light on it and get your hands out of the way. Not interested in hand modeling just well lit detailed instructions. Video seems to be more about product placement product naming and music. Oh brother

Need a better angle n more specific descriptions for those of us that have never disassembled and reassembled before. This video isn’t for beginners which is the whole point of having a tutorial video to begin with

Could have slowed the breaking down of the weapon and with a closer view of the extraction pins and trigger mechanism being disassembled as well as when reassembling. Young children watch this as well as adults.

Agree. I had to use another video to put it back together. Also pissed off that I bought their 19 dollar shotgun cleaning kit and it doesn't come with a wire brush.

Not enough detail. "Wipe down the high friction areas with oil." I'm a newbie. What are the high friction areas? Why do you go straight to oil? Do they not need to be scrubbed with solvent? Disassembly and especially reassembly way too fast.

Hi everyone, comment that has nothing to do with the Mossberg 500 smoothbore 41 cm (16.1417 inch) it is good in precision and practical range with buckshot 12 or 9 pellets of the slug? thank you for your response, it's been a long time since I'm looking for the answer but I can't find anything.

I like that silicone cloth, makes a 300 dollar gun look like a museum piece.

  • @greggdonde4190

I think your presentation assumes your audience knows how to disassemble the shotgun- I don’t, so the quick way you did it with no close up to actually see each piece and how it’s removed leaves me unable to replicate.

  • @Grooove_e

Best part about the 500 is that you only have to clean it once every 5 years lmao, not really but these shotguns are absolute tanks for reliability. I have a 20ga 500CR from 1974 that runs perfect every time and I barely clean it

QUESTION: The Materials Safety Data Sheet for Hoppe's No. 9 shows the cleaner consists principally of Kerosene and Alcohol (Ethanol and Methanol.) So, the question is... Why does Hoppe charge so much for a few ounces of the cleaner? And why can't I just use Kerosene + Alcohol to do the same thing?

Lots of us muzzleloader guys use windex to clean our rifles.
You can realistically use anything that wont eat the gun

Let's all start dry firing our shot guns with snap caps and see how long it takes for the firing pin to shatter.... people never dry fire a gun without a snap cap dummy shell or in a pinch use an already spent shot shell (already previously shot shell or empty shell).
