My family saes am too young for this kinda music asi ndakaudzwa nemumwe mungwaru kuti chachimhandara chachigindora kutadza kifura hurem hwacho, js listening to mbira and traditional songs alwaes give mi strength to kip going in life.
The beauty of traditional music transcends across tribal or racial divide. It touches my inner core, even though I don't get the lyrics. Sitshikitsha and Hosanna dances as well are so so fulfilling
Never no baba you 'll this far ,thot it's within our family .still remember you play mbira when u sorrow .ndaziva ichifamba mbira only nguva yekutandara pama bira .Leo still remember someone achikurambisza kuridza mbira saying mbira dzinokuitisa dofo kuxul 😅😅Proud of you ana Shumbaa
interesting music from these lads, please keep us updated on anything new. The music is just great, it in a way preserves the shona culture which is on its tipping point due to westernization
Either you hate your self if they paid you to say this. We don’t need white people to save us from white people. Reflect on how stupid what you just said is.

+MbiraOrganization Thank you :) I'm just in the beginning stages of properly learning the language of my father so this will be a great test for my ears to transcribe various lyrics of this piece. Thank you again!
+Joanna Majoko If you email me your email address, to erica@mbira.org, I'll send you the lyrics they taught to Nhema musasa in 2014, which are similar to what was sound here :)
It is not possible to get lyrics due to poor audio because of absence of mic. I can only hear fragmented lines because the instruments drown the lyrics. This is not a professional production that is why I can't get the lyrics. The only way is to converse with the artist.

Caroline Grosvenor They are doing nothing to preserve this beautiful type of traditional music, and to perpetuate the culture. It's sad.
Excellent!

This is gorgeous! Does anyone know what the lyrics roughly translate to?
It's the ancient Shona version of yodelling, mostly improvised

BEAUTIFUL!! Would anyone know where to find out the written lyrics in Shona?
+Joanna Majoko Traditional Shona singing with ancient mbira pieces is usually different every time the piece is played.
