LMAO Chris Tucker? 1995 and onward were good times for chris- Friday with old ice cube, 1998 rush hour then 2001 you rock my world with mj keep it up chris :)
this is my most favorite song by Tupac. The lyrics, the beats. dayum, i miss him so much!!! so many rising stars were taken from their young lives being in the wrong place at the wrong time. If only all the bloodshed would stop & the youth of today see what's happenin, rise up & stop it! Ya'll can do it, it's up to you!!! Red bandana, blue, it's just a f'in color, why can't we ALL just get along? *tears*
This was a great welcome home video for PAC a memory he will never forget this was a good look for the west fo sho much love rip PAC we will see better days soon !!!
The music video for Tupac Shakur's 1996 hit "California Love" was shot at the Thunderdome set and features vehicles and clothes inspired by the Mad Max series.
Damn, I remember seeing this video every morning while I ate breakfast before school for like three weeks. This is back when MTV actually played music.
Tupac could have changed the lives of, at least, millions of people who live in what is most commonly referred to as "ghettos". However, I believe he could have been an influence on the entire country, he could and would have gotten people to open their eyes to why their living conditions are how they are and hopefully lend advice or guidance to the masses on how to enact positive change for everyone. I guess for all intents and purposes I believe he could have been a modern day "rap messiah" if you will. LOL i just realized what song I'm posting this on... not the greatest example but those familiar with Tupacs body of work will know what I'm saying.
Without roger I don't think it would of been as hot as this song was but none the less good memories to this eve tho the first time a heard it I must of been 6 or 7 parents jamming it I'm the whip wondering who that man with the weird voice true legend all these artists influenced there own generation with there Music r.i.p to roger and Pac
I just searched in 90s songs and found this playlist, clicked in and here I am savoring the good old songs of the 90s and was surprised every time a song came in and sing with it.
...and I respect your opinion. Everyone has their own choices in music. I'm just saying, he has proved that he deserves respect. He's been consistently successful, has several hits and is Usher's cash cow. You don't have to like him, just show him some respect. Not many people did what he's done. I like this quote since it perfectly describes what I mean "People respect success. They respect big. They don't even have to like your music. If you're big enough, people are drawn to you." -Jay-Z
Tupac did some questionable things during the West vs. East feud. But there is no doubt that his rhymes, beats and lyrics are the best that rap has ever seen. R.I.P. And happy birthday
Funny how everyone is talking about West Coast and Talented rappers. This song was a sample of a Joe Cocker Song (Woman to Woman). An old 60s hippie dude.
Redem10 this has to be one of the best music videos. That cinematography is just beautiful and who can't get hyped or excited during a Mad Max desert chase scene
This is more poetic than musical. Which I appreciate. Rap shouldn't be about all beats and synthesizers. The lyrics provide the soul and uniqueness of what is rap music, the tongue of the urban jungle.
Damn I used to hear and see this video back when it was popular,,,my older brother and sister used to watch this when we lived in chinle in 96...I was like a baby but this tune reminds me of them they're already graduated high school in 02 and 03 and have kids...This song and the fugees killing me softly and kcand jojo's all my life and Monica's for u I will reminds me of that place
Roger Troutman is part of that legendary Ohio R&B and Funk legacy. Started with the Isleys, Ohio Players, O'Jays and Bootsy Collins and he just fortified it.
I'm not usually impressed by rap music, especially nowadays, but I can count on one hand the number of songs that excite me as much as this one. I HAVE to blast the speakers and start dancing, even if I'm in the car. It's truly a work of art.
Fair enough. I won't try to change anyones opinion. I just feel that if someone is going to dislike him, it should be for the song content or the content of his character.
Well, every generation is going to have it's musical geniuses. I don't think any artist of recent will be able to compare to Tupac (especially if the most popular rappers as of recent have been Lil Wayne and Drake), but history repeats itself. Also, a difference in Tupac and modern rappers is that Tupac was an educated rapper. He understood Shakespeare and Machiavelli and attended art school as a student. I doubt many "rappers" know of these people or their work.
Enjoy the small simple things in life like this song but there is a lot more than streets, you got planets, galaxies and a whole universe to explore.....
There will never be a music era like the 90s. It was the golden age of hip hop/rap. RIP Eazy E & Tupac
Nobody can beat Tupac....Best rapper that ever lived and will never be forgotten...RIP Tupac..
Ice Cube and Dre:
