  • In Transformers, Megatron is the leader of the Evil Decepticons and his goal is the conquest of the universe. The Generation One version of Megatron transforms into a gun, a Walther P-38 to be precise. But while some reissues of the original were released in Japan, this is still a hard toy to find. This version is not full-scale but is a great version of the character who actually becomes a gun. The Jinbao / Defer Mation version has EVIL ENERGY and Captain Kyle reviews it to see if it's a good fit for your collection.
    Megatron’s original form, which was sold in the 80s without a problem, is no longer a toy that Hasbro will sell. However, third-party versions do exist that pay homage to his original Transformation. Like this one, which comes with the robot that transforms into a gun, the scope that doubles as the fusion cannon in robot mode, plus the silencer, stock, extra hands, an energy flail, a control helmet, the pistol that killed Prime, an energy sword, and the Key to Vector Sigma. Plus, two alternative faces for Megatron and a display stand. Captain Kyle investigates all of it to see if you should add it to your collection.

    The extra grey piece goes on the left side of his back in robot mode. The base of the sword comes off and can be plugged into all the purple pieces that can then be put in the gun barrel. Also the red safety plug on the gun comes off.

  • @Retrotoyguysi

    Great review/video. I just got my 'Destroy Emperor' and am also confused by all the parts. I did find that the red bit does come out of the gun barrel, which is nice I guess. Also find it funny how they do that but the 'silencer' (which makes the gun bigger and thus a bit more realistic) doesn't have any red stopper. 🤷‍♂

  • @gangwu4541
    @gangwu4541 6 месяцев назад

    The three purple parts are for the laser sword effect. They connect to the ‘short sword’ to form the complete sword. The ‘short sword’ is only the base part.

    that extra oiece looks like it goes into the trigger guard so the stand can peg into it to display it in gun mode. Megatron dis fire himself in gun mode in the cartoon once.

    Unfortunately that filler for the back needs to be put off for transformation. It is a miss opportunity that it does not peg on the gun mode. That would have make him perfect. I got the one with metallic paint, I must say he is great figure!

    This is a pretty cool little figure, even though he's about an inch or so smaller than I thought he'd be when I ordered him... I was really looking for a counterpiece to my downsized KO MP-10 Optimus Prime figure that wasn't another damned tank, but of course, when I opened him up he didn't match up with Optimus very well. Still, it's a pretty cool figure so, I had to keep it, even just as it's own display piece. I'm actually hoping to find a VERY small, yet slightly posable figure that I can paint black and white to make a black costume Spider-Man, and display them with a copy of Transformers #3, where Spider-Man is swinging from his webbing after trying to web up Megatron... I'll also make the custom webbing for the tiny Spidey...!
    I still want an 18" OS/KO of this Megatron to display opposite my 18" OS/KO MP-10 Optimus Prime too...!
