The process of player transfers is quite complicated and requires time to reach agreements for buying and selling players.

Match fitness is the test when you have a bit of time off not general fitness. But what worries me the most is injures with those still playing so close to the new season

Dare I say, there's a narrative here with the Arsenal players in the England squad? Everyone attacking the 2 arsenal players in the starting lineup asking for them both to be replaced when arguably Saka has been the best player in a team that collectively has underperformed and looked like they won't even make it to the semis let alone to win it.
Declan has been left to play alongside a player who's completely out of position in Trent and as such has to do more and play a different role than you have seen him play for Arsenal all season.
Pundits and fans need to give it a rest and just come clean, say what your real gripe is and in so doing blame the manager for his squad selection and formation and team choice, not the players.
What makes me laugh is they’ve all criticised Rice but immediately put him in their starting 11s etc.
Rice was playing in a new team entirely. So he as just learning the of playing for Arteta and Arsenal. If he had gone back to Westham, he would not have been that bad.
Your point is that it's just one game, but it should be looked at as a whole campaign. As we know, last season we lost by only 2 points, which is 1 loss. I would always prefer Arsenal!

Chill out Robbie - some players already going on holiday and it’s over 6 weeks until the start of the season. If we cannot have a good start to the season at home to wolves without a couple of players then we need a better bench and have no chance of winning the title anyway. What do we do if rice saka and havertz are injured / suspended? We need a good bench.
There's a whole team of sport scientist, nutritionist, physio therapist that would've given these players their load management plans and schedules prior to them going off to international tournaments, or if they're on summer break. The preparation never stops, and Arsenal are at a point now where we don't have jokers around the team, very professional squad. Players go through rigorous recovery training after camps and matches as well, it isn't as simple as just being involved in a tournament, its one of the main reasons why this is professional sports, and not Sunday league. You can make the argument if our players didn't take care of their bodies or didn't invest time in being at the optimal condition, but let me know where you see that sort of attitude throughout our squad. Scientifically, it's actually more damaging for the players to take a longer break after such intense periods than to keep playing but just at a different intensity. Thats why during pre-season there's scheduled plans for different groups because some are further ahead in their load schedules than others.
The ironic thing is having such a jammy draw, (for the 3rd tournament running) with Spain, Portugal, Germany & France in the other half, ENG are due to meet 2 of the best 3 teams on showing so far, in the 1/4's and semi, them being Switz and Austria.
Bellingham has to be rested, he even said he felt "Dead" in the last game.
You can't claim Saka scored as it was offside, that's a flipping ridiculous thing to say.
What you gonna do, rearrange the PL scoring chart last season to include offside goals.
As kneelagte hasn't brought a FIT LB, play a back 3, with Trent & Saka as wingbacks, Rice/Mainoo as CM, Palmer, Foden & Watkins.
Palmer has to start, he stood out in his 20mins cameo, coming off a stellar PL season.
Kane is either not fully fit, or has aged like last years calender.
ENG need, pace, trickery & width, all which they haven't displayed so far.

No it’s not an embarrassment. Ian Wright is supposed to be a voice for Arsenal fans on national tv. He knows his responsibility. In the heat of criticism he is suggesting something that scapegoats Saka.
Think Arteta will sell the ones going to Marbella after couple of game into the Prem in August. Looking at Aston Villa and Wolves will see the likes of Jesus, Nketiah, Smith Rowe in action with subs filled with 1st teamers. After that Arteta will sanction late sale of the current reserves.
Using Gordon is not that simple. Newcastle doesn't play possession football. So, Gordon is a very good but also RISKY dribbler. He WILL lose possessions. and behind him have to be someone good at defending. For example like Dan Burn. But, England doesn't have that kind of player. The closest probably is Joe Gomez or Walker. But, Walker is a fantastic player but cannot invert centrally to help possession from left side like Trippier.
I have interaction with Graham on here and know of Lee due to St Margaretsbury connections but for Arsenal's best interests I hope Saka is dropped to the bench for the rest of the tournament. I am a qualified Fa coach and will let you know why? My answer relates to Benjamin White? If you can guess my answer broadcast what you think? It also relates to Kyle walker!

Summer tournaments are part of the job Robbie they have already prepared for that, the player will get 3 weeks off from when they are out the competition and they will have a program for them, but like lee said they should all be ready to play atleast the last Emirates cup game

I wouldn't expect them to play the opening match v Wolves if England , Brazil and France were all to get to the finals it will be tough on us ! Arsenal fans always make the same excuses for Saka, so embarrassing to be this deluded. These lot used to say that Saka hasn't quite looked as good as last year despite better numbers because teams this year are doubling and tripling up on him, and now Robbie says it's the same when he's playing for England.
You'd think Saka was Messi or something like that, when they talk about him these Arsenal fans. Saka is a very good player but not a world class player and certainly not as good as this channel or Arsenal fans in general think.
Saka has been very average most of the season and that's why AFTV alone has about 20 videos this season talking about ''I don't understand why Saka been criticized, he got a goal or an assist'', well yeah but he did F all besides that in those games, and Arsenal fans love to talk about Palmer having good numbers because of penalties but it's like they completely forget that Saka takes the penalties for Arsenal and also half of the corner kicks which is a big reason why he gets a lot of his goals and assists, if you check how many goals or assists he's got in open play it's very average.

This is an ARSENAL fan channel. We are here to support our players come rain come sunshine, especially against your likes who are only here to criticise them. Maybe you should consider following a channel of your own team ( you probably already do and find it boring, hence why you are here ) and try supporting your own players. We don't care how you rate Saka. He's been the best England player for the last two seasons. He continues to contribute to the England team even in the face of hefty criticism from your likes. Even when he's playing bad, he provides assists and goals. I so much wish that Southgate can bench Saka and play your favourite player instead. Let's see how that goes.

Also Julian has a point, last summer we had a lot of preparation, and we did not start off well. Performances did not match the preparation we had in preseason. A lot of poor performances and draws at the start. Forest wasn’t great, Fulham draw at home, United last minute win, Spurs draw at home.
