@@danielhanslik4112 oh yeah you are right about that I'm trying to break it down in my head but it changes around too much. Plus I am not the best at describing music, I am completely self taught and never dived into reading music beyond tabs.It's easier for me to pick up an instrument and figure it out.
But I do hear a constant followable beat throuought the song, and explaining it through text is really hard and inefficient. I think you are right about it being two time signatures, and time signatures match up at some level if they are in the same tempo (even eventually if not). Either way they create beautiful music and are completely under-rated. Super interesting conversation and thought experiment about a topic I don't normally discuss with others. So thanks!

This is seriously one of the greatest tracks I've heard in a long time. Fucking great on every level.
Rhythm at the beginning (when drums come in) -
Guitar plays 6 quarter notes, 2 dotted eights, one eight (nothing tricky)
Drum beat is a stock drum beat with every note played for 5 sixteenth notes instead of 4 so you have 1 (2) E (3) + (4) a (1) 2 etc. Then the fill to catch up at the end of 4 bars.

Yeah, keyboards/synths have been grossly underepresented (just playing in the background at best) for way too long since the end of the melodic death metal heydays (norther, children of bodom, eternal tears of sorrow etc). It is so ecstatic and refreshing to hear this solo, while everyone is jumping on the sax bandwagon. Can only hope more of these in store for the future :D
