There is constant identification and constant feeling of me or I. There is identification with feelings, emotions even when you are not aware of it. The job is when you detect there is me, instantly feel with what you identified and stop identification, so that there is not me inside throughout your day. That is the job. Establishment in sakshi state. This is the beginning. Like a newborn child.

The disciple's problem is that he is intellectualizing when he only needs to be quiet snd listen. We all fear the unknown of this nonexistent world that holds us captive as imposters to our real Selves. There is no path to the Self, the Self IS.
I'd just say to that guy or anyone, are u scared when u have dreamless sleep? No! So why be scared of the No-thing/ emptiness. You're not gonna be there to experience the no-thing. It's only in the Knowing state that struggles or suffers or is trying to attain something. We keep showing up. Lol. 🤣 😊❤🙏
