@@Skiergold @Skiergold Im gonna start making random quotes from different movies too. "There's a ninety-five pound Chinese man with a hundred sixty million dollars behind this door. "
In all of the "Equalizer" films ,Denzel Washington 's character McCall is a very fatherly man until someone hurts a friend of his. Then he's the terminator. Killing his way to the top of the pile to avenge that friend.
The thing is, if Robert McCall wouldn’t have been so sadistic, slowing down his speed to enjoy the violence. He definitely would’ve gotten them in 16 seconds like when he’s killing the guy with the corkscrew, he’s slowing down for no reason other than to enjoy the blood.
I have a theory that when he was like the Grim Reaper in the War Zones he may have developed a psychotic sadistic nature when it came to killing but his wife made him change his ways, so whenever he is timing himself he is probably doing that to not prolong his killing urges and become sadistic again trying to be quick and think of the time
I would love to see John Wick and Mr. McCall team up. And seeing the corkscrew through the jaw into the mouth literally hurt my jaw. This is some bad shit insane! Probably my favorite fight scene in the whole Equalizer series.
i hate it when the reactors compare mccall to wick. these two are not in the same league. Wick would never mess with someone like McCall, hes at least smart enough to know that McCall is far too intelligent for him. Difference between criminal assassin and CIA operative assassin, and they arent even close.
He locks and unlocks the door 3 times because he has OCD. He HAS to do certain things 3 times/keeps everything he owns extremely organized and very clean.
Funny thing is 2014 is when Equalizer and John Wick both came out. John Wick has become the descriptor for anything up close and brutal. But the Equalizer story and series came before anything John Wick. Denzel is a masterpiece at this, because he is a true assassin, very cool, calculating and his abilities are hidden until needed. This movie has him facing his enemy, talking, and giving them the chance to make the right choice, which they never do. Wick is just Rage.
well the equalizer began as a series in 1985, so it greatly precedes Wick. And for up close and personal fight scenes, it was really Bourne series that pioneered that. They just toned down the gruesomeness of it to make the films for teen friendly. That being said, John Wick is thug compared to robert mccall and jason bourne. Both of them would eat wick for breakfast. And I am saying this while simultaneously loving all the series. But Wick gets his asses handed to him because he has no intelligence going into fights. he just luckily prevails with a laundry list of injuries.
He's not slowing down time. Its an old special forces trick, you slow your own heart rate so you can better take in your surroundings. It was, for me. . .the first indicator that the character was not all he would appear. Lol
Only thing I can come up with is that on the last guy, (using the corkscrews) he just stood there a bit before falling onto the floor. So maybe, from the time the corkscrew was driven under his jaw, thru his mouth, until the time he fell, was 9 seconds? Best guess I can come up with.
Ok look, I like Reactors Reacting but here's a novel idea. How about a split screen with the movie scene on the left in it's entirety and the reactors on the right. Sound good?

God this scene was so good

Nah he's just older...he's not the young black ops assassin he used to be. Retirement, age and marriage slowed him down.

Pretty sure thats why he said 28 minus 9. 19 seconds. He was accounting for taking it in

i actually agree with you...i think mccall would be too much for wick
I loved the second to last one with the hot fuzz reference!!😁😁🤘🤘
locks door ...now youse can't leave ..a bronx tale
Wick IS NO WHERE CLOSE to being this good.

Do not, and I do NOT, mess with McCall
Technically all but one were dead in 19 seconds, the last guy he let bleed out on principles
Denzel Washington is my favorite actor of all time and a very nice person as well. 😎

They say Blade looks like the Matrix even though Blade was released first. Yeah, funny thing
The difference is Denzel can act…
@@drummerboy2834 Sort of...I find him over-rated. Not saying he isn't a "good" actor with a nice resume of movies but still over-rated.

John wick vs equalizer the movie would have been crazy
Wick/McCall vs Agent 47 (Hitman)/? ...can't think of someone to finish out that 2nd team.

I'm thinking it's to calculate how much he missed his 16 second mark, and realized he spent too much time on "Corkscrew Guy"
