Good showing Mark! thanks I'm going up to Target today, and I think they have this there, but didn't see the price as my Target makes you basically walk up to the register and then you can ask them. As far as I know this set was never available at any Target stores. I ordered the CD version through Amazon. But this colored vinyl set was ordered through the udiscover website. It was retailing for about $100 but with a sale they were having and points I had saved up I got it for just over $30.
@@MarkP Ok great site I like the graphics and it's easy to navigate. I see they have The Carpenters but not the big vinyl 12 LP set you purchased. Were you ever satisfied with the replacement? Or did you just get a refund? Wish they still sold it and they did the proper QC on the vinyl. I probably still have about 5 or 6 of their original LP's from the 70's, but in 50 years time, they are not in the most pristine condition and they made just extraordinary records I'd like to have again, and keep them immaculate!:-)
@@Tunz909 They did send a replacement but they were not a whole lot better. They sound good but still had lots of sharp edges and spindle holes that were too small. If you can find good originals you'd probably be better off.
@@MarkP All right thanks for updating. Did you get a nice bound book with your set? For me one of the best part of BOX SETS are the books which have great photo's and commentary's. One of the best looking books/pages thickness/photos/graphics / is the book in The Beatles in Stereo Box Set Vinyl. Speaking of originals, I just recently realized that the albums in the Beatles Mono Vinyl Box Set all came out individually! I recall reading that they were NOT going to break up the box sets. So if i can get them as solo LP's all I'll need is the book that comes with it. I've seen prices around 2K for the set , and that I can't do for now at least!;-) Have you ever seen the book sold by itself? thanks for your help! Bruce

How’s the sound quality of the colored vinyl? I’m debating whether I should order the colored vinyl, or just the standard black vinyl.
@@brendan_allard I personally think all colored vinyl now days sounds just as good as standard black vinyl. This pressing, to me, sounds very good.
