    Hey Sam, great solo show. Check out Bellinger’s career stats. Ever since he came into the league, he’s alternated an elite season and an ok/average one throughout his career (taking out the 2020 pandemic season and the 2021-22 injury plagued seasons). I think there’s a good chance and enough evidence to suggest, he will have a good season next year for the Cubs, if he were to opt in. Keep up the good work!!!

    I got a quick one with PCA.. he’s great out in the field and goes balls out but that might come and bite him, we all know injuries happen as we get older and he has had none.. if he keeps going balls out and hopping and jumping around everywhere, full blown sprints around the bases, well guess what? I’m not gonna say it cause I don’t want to jinx it, BUT if it did happen, then what?? Who’s gonna play centerfield? You need Bellinger.. the focus is on PCA.. Cody has a broken finger and is still performing.. he’s worth every penny.. slow it down PCA or you will be on the IL.. it happens to everyone

    I like Ballenger's versatility. But one way or another, he's blocking Cassie, who I'd like to see as our RF. That move would put Suzuki as our DH. This would result in either Ballenger OR Busch will have to go. I'd also trade Hoerner and put Shaw at 2B. Of course, we need 1ore really good starter and a real closer. Then I think we'd be the favorite to win the division.

  • @anthonypascente9331

    I would sign Bellinger to a 2 year extension. So total 4 years no opt out 100 million. 2nd best average on the team. Low strike out rate. Good defender. Cubs need a closer. This would have solved everything. Over 20 blown saves. Take 10 of those and the Cubs are in the playoffs

  • @tomcrane9448
    @tomcrane9448 Месяц назад

    I think Cubs need a 3rd or 4th level starter and a very good closer and ideally a big hitter instead of Cody. I think Cody will opt in. Although I love him not sure he's worth what he's getting unless he's nearer MVP form, that said he is a versatile defender.
    I don't think the cubs overall are scoring enough runs to win a lot of games. I not sure of the stats but must be a lot of games of them scoring under 4. The other area they need to improve is against teams in their division. I'm not sure how you do this (more research or its just been bad luck) but we have a very bad record against NL central teams. The cubs have also lost a lot of close games probably there are too many close games because of lack of offence.

  • @johnlenon8872
    @johnlenon8872 Месяц назад

    If Cody had 600 ABs right now, it would be interesting to see his numbers. He will stay and that's good. He has had some weird injuries this year. Yes, Isaac leaving runners on by striking out looking is the story of the game and year for Cubs. Players on this team love to watch strike 3. They take the first pitch, not ready to hit. The 2nd pitch, all of a sudden, they are ready to swing. They do swing. The pitch is 4 feet in front of the plate. 0-2. Then a strike 3 called on a pitch that is 1 or 2 in too high. You KNOW it is going to be called strike 3. Only because it has been the other 500 ABs you have had as a player this year. The players remain too stupid and are called out on strikes all the time. Suzuki is the Queen of this affliction. Wisdom on the team, nevermind getting ABs, is a mystery. Craig is also a dumb manager. He's really stupid. He leaves pitchers in and cannot manage a staff. At the end of the day if the Cubs were an aggressive team swinging in hitter's counts instead of just standing there and if they did not have 23 blown saves, they would be a pretty good team. You gotta have smarts and talent to succeed a a unit. Not that smart.

Dude cracked his ribs this season (lets not forget he was on a tear right before he cracked his ribs)...came back after a month of being out and fought through the pain to play, THEN he got hit in his hand broke some fingers and came back WAY sooner then anyone thought and fought through the pain to play. Dude is a gamer and wants the team to succeed, I'd take a player like that any day of the week. We all want Cody to stay, let him play right and just let Seiya DH. Trade Nico, move Busch to second and get Alonso.

      Not everybody wants him to stay. I didn't want him back this past offseason. He's not worth $30 Million a year. I'm hoping he opts out. And why move Busch to 2nd when he's got a chance to win a GG at 1st next year. He's great over there. Stay away from Alonzo. That's a bad deal waiting to happen. They have better choices in Iowa.

    2.4 WAR and under 800 ops ... Cody is over paid for what he delivers

      The fans wanted him back for what reason idk he stays hurt every season and he isn't difference maker. Cody a solid complimentary player to a team who has 2 or 3 superstars on it he would fit the Yankees.

      Cody will bounce back. He had a 881 OPS. We only have two players over 800 OPS this year. It's just a down year for the offense.

    There's no way Belli opts out. Teams were already nervous to sign him last year, and this year's numbers aren't going to make anyone throw money at him. He's staying. So we need to pray the Cubs coaching staff can find some way to develop a player. He's a good piece of this team. He plays 1st solidly. He can platoon 1st, Right, and DH. He's valuable to this team.
