    AWESOME Marv
    - Do you worry about loosing some sub bass volume in the Sub when putting a saturator on the group?
(ie., to have the BIGGEST most powerful sub would it be better to have a second sub layer that is unaffected by the saturator, or if using a single sub layer to use some kind of multiband saturator to leave the sub bass freq's clean, or could you simply use a MB compressor to increase the low end after saturation was applied to the full freq range of the sub?)

thats a myth, due to the use of saturation i actually make the bass more powerful and will be audible through almost all speakers because of increased harmonics, if you overdo it, the harmonics can become louder than the actual sub tho and at this point you can split the signal. I do however saturate or distort all my basses and have never noticed a lack of sub when ive done it in a controlled way, if i go overboard i actually do split them but then actually use a little bit of saturation on the group so i can glue the split sounds back together, but in the end trust your ears and gut and do it how you like it :) hope that clears it up

i do often use thermal (multiband distortion) when i wanna make a sound louder for example and then i distort everything but the sub, but the sub itself can have distortion or saturation in my opinion, if it sounds bad it sounds bad, if it sounds good it sounds good init
