OMG! I wish I'd watched this before I turned my kitchen into a sticky disaster area trying to fill a piping bag with swiss meringue for the first time. I'll definitely be using this method the next time. This is amazing!
This hack kept my mom and I from pulling our hair out while making 4 batches of different flavored Macarons. One tiny thing extra we did was tie off the opposite end from the tip because the first time we had batter squeeze out of the top of the bag. We were using silicone bags and they don't twist as well as the thinner plastic. Thanks heaps!
Wow wow wow 🤯!!!! Thank you for this! Can’t believe I’ve wasted so much icing and made such a mess all year trying to use my piping bag!!! One of The best tip I’ve ever seen! Right up there with the tip from Jacques Torres on how to whip the butter oh high for 2 mins to fluff up my buttercream! THANK You!!!
You so rock!!! I always make a mess when I fill my bag. This technique is easy, quick and mess-free! And ur right, u did blow my mind! 😀 Thanks for sharing!
The Domestic Geek I love love love love loveeeedddddd the idea!!!!!!! You are a genius...I am a newbie at baking and often stress at the mess I make everytime I try to fill in my bag or clean it up. You rocked the hack!!!! Love you for sharing this!! :D :D (virtual hug) :D
I was legit just going "WHAT." "WAT." "WOT." the entire video... As someone who has the most bittersweet relationship with decorating (it's the best part but piping bags are just miserable) I believe I just found my golden nugget of truth. If I weren't already subscribed, I'd subscribe just for this. Thank you ;A;
The tips go inside my piping bags and have no coupler other than the tension of the silicone bag. For those like me, complete these steps as depicted up until the insertion of the tube of plastic wrap and frosting. Before inserting, snip the excess wrap that would otherwise have been fed through the piping bag, insert the tube into the bag, and pinch the piping bag around the top end of the frosting cylinder with one hand whilst pulling free the plastic wrap with the other; it should unfurl and slip out without much difficulty because you cut the other twisted end off. Obviously, with this method you don't get the benefit of keeping your piping bag mostly clean, but it at least helps ensure that all your frosting goes into the bag.
I'm a day late watching this video :'( I had friends over and we made cookies, but we avoided using piping bags because we didn't want to waste any of our limited icing. This is a genius idea! I'll keep it in mind for the future! Thanks!
I tried with my Costco plastic wrap, and the frosting leaked everywhere whike trying to swing it around! Tried to use two sheets, but doing so was next to impossible - sticking in the wrong places. What plastic wrap do you recommend?
This may be the best tip I have ever seen. There's nothing I hate more than washing frosting out of the bag! Thanks for sharing!
My pleasure!
Scooping it into the bag is worse lol

BlueTullip Hi! And welcome!! We post new videos every Monday and Thursday so come back soon :)
thank you very much! Could this work for meringue cookies too? I am so tired of the mess I do while trying to get them into the piping bag
I haven't tried it but it should work! Just be gentle while spinning so you don't knock all of the air out of your meringue!
Amazing !
Mona Chowdhury Isn't it awesome??? I'll never fill a piping bag the other way again :)
Haha yes. This is like a life changing discovery! Oh and i just discovered your channel and i am HOOKED ! Great job!

Funny , who would have thought about that!! :D
I tried with my Costco plastic wrap, and the frosting leaked everywhere whike trying to swing it around! Tried to use two sheets, but doing so was next to impossible - sticking in the wrong places. What plastic wrap do you recommend?
For the guilt free icecream could you use normal milk (cows milk?) instead of almond milk?? xxx
Absolutely Josie! Cow's milk would totally work in 'ice cream' :) Enjoy!
Omg! Where were you all this while!!??
You're awesome ♥♥
wow
so intelligent! Where can you buy piping bags?
You can usually find them at big box stores and bulk food stores. I recently came across them at my local dollar store which has been awesome!
I was wondering if this works on churros and macaroons? Thank you. Please reply
Ching Sy Yes, they absolutely would :) And it makes clean up soooo much easier!
That is awesome . Now how about for piping chocolate 🤔
Does it work without a coupler?
Kinda wish I would have the forethought to search for this before piping cupcakes for the first time in my life.
This is epic
You might be a fkng genius. 😮. Thank you 🙏
