Greetings, that is the same mount that I just installed on my Ranger pontoon. Mine had the under skirting, and you were right about taking a lot longer to install. On a side note. The skirting comes out real easy from the front.

Dealer says it will, but a lot of people warn against it. Haven't used mine yet. Just looking for peace of mind.

Just wondering about trapped shavings.
My sundtracker won't fit in my garage anymore if I install the ski tower. I put quick disconnects on the bemini top in order to quickly remove or install to park in the garage. Do I have any other options? Can I use a ski rope Y bridal hooked on the side cleats or eyelits on the toons? We used to just hook a rope off a cleat on each side of our old boat and make a Y back and hook to the main ski rope. Seems like everybody online these days act like that's not acceptable?? I know that a tower is preferable on a pontoon i guess but I just don't have the room and I want to keep parking in the shop.
What can I use on a bass buggy 16 to pull tubes?
You mention the fishing barge has to be 20ft. I have a 2023 Suntracker Bass Buggy XL16. Really is 18 ft base. Is there a way to put this bar on my boat? Thanks!
Great Video What's your opinion of TurboSwing on same boat instead of tower. I have TurboSwing but haven't installed yet. I was told that Suntracker Tower was not for tubing but I understand this is a new design

I have a Cypress Cay Seabreeze 20ft pontoon and would like to know if I can use this on my boat? I have the same motor as you have in the video and I like the design of the under mount. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.
It should be able to fit .. as long as the boat is wide enough and you have the similar style supports underneath.. I’ll take a measurement at work I don’t remember the width off the top of my head.. thanks for watching

Hi I got a question. I have the underskirts like you were talking about in the video but they're not riveted like you said. Their bolts but my question is are the nuts welded on the inside because there's no way to get your hands inside to hold the nut from turning when tightening. Can you please help. Thanks
I have never seen ones bolted yet .. but the should be threaded or something if there is no access to them.. could even just be lagged in with bolt head style lags possibly.. let me know how it goes.. and if you have any questions.. thanks for watching
I found out what the nuts were called. There rivet nuts. So if I were to remove the bolt the rivet nut will stay in place right

Ski Pylon for Suntracker:---Very Nice video for that tower installation. Your other video's have been very informative. Since this tower support limit is 700 lbs what would be the limit of the Ski Pylon with the insert in the back of the boat which goes into the deck. I would assume not nearly the limit of the tower. But I have not found a RUclips video of this optional item. I would hate to 'bend' the Pylon or rip the decking. Thanks
Unfortunately the ski pylon can’t be put in after the boat has been built.. they have a different structure welded under the deck.. so if your boat didn’t come with one ... you can’t just put one in.. you would have to put in a ski tower.. let me know if you have any questions.. and thanks for watching

I would call your local tracker boating center and ask them if they have any available.. they can sell you one over the counter at the parts department.. or order you one and have it shipped to your house I’m sure.. thanks for watching

Question - have you added a tritoon to a 24 tracker fishing barge? Is it possible? What's your opinion is it worth it?
No I have never added a tri-toon to a regular pontoon.. not saying it’s not possible or anything.. just never done it. Everything we do at my shop like that would have to be approved by the factory.. depending on the size of your motor would make it worth it or not.. if it was a 200 or bigger it might be .. thanks for watching..

The brackets that hold the tow bar have bent I have been pulling a 4-person tube but had no problems pulling that until I tried pulling someone skiing. Any suggestions?
So the only way to fix it would be to replace it unfortunately.. they are now calling for the it to be mounted 1/4 inch from the back of the rear rub rail.. that seems to make it flex less.. hope that helps..

Most likely you would have to replace the whole thing.. and your local tracker dealer would have one or if not order you one..

I think you put it on backwards...I looked at some sun tracker sites...theirs has the support on the other side...would also explain why your angle was cut "wrong".
Yep they changed the brace they used to mount the other way.. if you watch it to the end you will see I address it.

Just bought a 2021 20 dlx fishing barge! Is there a website I can buy this same tow/ski tower? Can’t seem to find it! Would rather install my self.
If you call a tracker boating center parts department or go to one.. they should have one for sale.. if not they can order you one.. even if you didn’t buy it from them the shop you did should be able to get it too.. thanks for watching
The things are now a tower and like he installed and they are 600 bucks. Last year they only used a pole sticking up and it was 240. But think this new thing is much more substantial.
I have a who dat rocket launcher on my boat... I just got a radar Dome and I’m trying to feed the wire bundle through the top, down the leg and out the bottom... it’s very difficult feeding it through the tubes... any suggestions????
Fish tape and a hook pick.. make the holes a little bigger if need be.. once fish tape is through us a pice of paracord to pull
Sometimes I have had to cut the end off if it’s a Ethernet style and put another end back on
Reel Life Fisherman I finally got the wire bundle through.. after searching around on some forums I found a old post on some sailing forum... I tied 8 pound test to a cotton ball... stuck the cotton ball in the tube and sucked it through the radar arch with a shop vac.. then I tied some heavy string to the fishing line and pulled the heavy string back the other way... then tied the heavy string to the wire bundle and pulled the wire bundle through the tube using the heavy string. I hooked everything up this morning and it all works!!! Wahoo!!!

Where do I buy this ski tower set up? I see lots of other options but want this set up..
They have to be ordered through a tracker boat center parts department. Some may have them in stock but most will have to be ordered.
Looks like this way should be strong enough to pull a tube or blow up boat also...if going slow ...like fore kids?
It has a 700lb rating for tube and riders.. some towables have a lot of drag that adds weight.. I would recommend only a 2 or 3 rider for kids .. and only 1 or 2 adults ..
I was told by the Bass Pro Service Dept that this voids the lifetime hull and frame warranty.
So no towing with the 18 model? I’m looking at getting either the 18 or 20, but would like the option for some tubing.
Yeah I would go with the 20’ if you’re looking to pull a tube.. you can’t use one of these with the 18’ .. so you would have to use possibly a v harness from the tie down eyes which would probably void any warranty on the logs in that area..or a turbo swing which would void your motor warranty on the engine mounting bolts.. let me know if you have any questions.. thanks for watching..
Reel Life Fisherman yea that help with my decision. I’ve never owned a boat and it’d be my first. I’ll be using it mostly for fishing and taking family out. I figure a pontoon will be good for the older people and for carrying several, but I don’t look to be doing anything excessive, just fishing and a little tubing.
Then a fishing barge 20 or even a 22 would be awesome.. and go with the bigger motor you won’t regret it later..
Reel Life Fisherman I think the 20 will be good. I’ll be trailering it anytime I use it and don’t want to go too big. I did have a few questions about the motor. Does the 90hp Mercury come with stainless propeller or is that optional? And does it add any extra benefit? Also, are hydrofoils worth adding on?
So I will check tomorrow to make sure .. they do put stainless on some models now.. they do provide a small performance upgrade.. with the ability to have a sharper edge and better surface.. but they cost quite a bit more money.. and on lesser hp engines not always worth it.. and they won’t bend which is not always a good thing if the break away hub doesn’t do it’s job.. it can damage the lower unit.. the hydro foils do work but can seal top end speed from drag.. but they do help to get on plane faster and help keep the boat from try to Porpoise.. so kinda a trade off.. but I don’t see a lot of them on pontoons.. so I would hold off on one until you think you might want to try it for sure..

I would definitely recommend the 200 if you want more speed.. the new model xp3 should all have the onboard ski/tow Pylon that has a threaded base in the deck.. but let me check today and just make sure .. they have changed a few things in the last year.. thanks for watching

Looking back at list for trolling motor. Can you give me stock number on the on board charger. Since this list is from Amazon will the tracker shop in Huntsville have all this in stock?
Another question would want another fish finder on front of boat....easy on easy off. Take a picture for me of where you would put it. Wouldn't be real fancy on the front. On the new ones they install in dash.
Another question....Had any experience with solar. Add it to battery charger set up?

Have called Tracker Boat center (Bass Pro Shop) they are not quoting the same part. They are wanting to install a "ski tower" and have to use a lift to install it, so it will be labor from them as well. Quoted $1000 bucks total, 3.5hrs labor. Do you have more information where your buddy got this part ? Seems like its a very difficult part to find...

Yes they do call it a ski tower also .. they do not need a lift at all .. we do them all the time on the trailer.. the only time we charge 4 hrs is if they have under pinning.
Call the rocklin ca tracker boat center and ask about it we usually even have a few in stock..

Previous boat owner swapped out the transom mount & I want to make sure this tower is wide enough to fit between that & my lateral 'toons
Why can’t you put on the 18’ bass buggy?
The beam on the bass buggy is not wide enough to fit ..
Deck is 6 inches narrower on the 18 foot compares to the 20 foot. Will work with a narrower ladder or take your ladder to a fab shop and have left hand rail moved in. At the very end of this video you can see how close pylon is to left handrail.

Pontoons are 8’6” apart on 20 ft and only 8’ on 18 ft. Pylon will fit if you install a ladder with narrower handrails. Pylon is 51” wide so you need 25 1/2” from centerline of boat on each side. This interferes with factory ladder left handrail.
Well, Jason, you've opened a can of worms for me mate. So many things to ponder on so I'll get down to it. Firstly. Are there any toque requirements for those bolts and do you think there should be if not?
Myself and my wife are both mildly OCD She was bad in the early days (thanfully she still loves me lol). Through the years I have managed to relax her and she's not so bad now. She does'nt get on at me so much for not tidying up the way she likes it and conversly, I don't get on at her for the things she does'nt understand, A happy medium for two opposites maybe.
On a different tack, I would probably went to the expense of aluminium sheeting on the underside of the barge? Does'nt seem right to have bare timber ply ( marine presumably ) exposed like that and I would at least put some kind of protection for that.( at least better than none at all ). Was just a thought though.
Another thing occered to me with those bolts. What about the big problem of electrolysis ? I presume they are steel and as you know steel and alumininium don't like each other.
Finally, as you might remember, I have a small 4.7 m Quintrex and have a small tow bar on the stern which is interchangeable with my filleting table, which is likely to be a permanent fixture , since towing a 70 year old might look a tad undignified lol. Having that huge tow bar on there did not look strong enough because of the greater torque pressure of whatever is being towed ( it just looked too high and I would have considered two extra supports attached to the stern higher up for added strength. I would have put a larger diameter ( like my bull bar on my car ) tow bar too. Seems to me to be under engineered.

Yeah I agree there should definitely be more support up top where it’s needed.. if they bend it’s always at the top.. no matter which way the bracing is.. and no there is no recommended torque specs at all.. just g.f.t spec as we say.. lol 😉 the plywood is 3/4 marine grade and actually has a lifetime warranty.. and In my years in the industry so far.. we really don’t have issues with the decks on these rotting out.. the aluminum underpinning is a Performance upgrade to lessen the drag of any water hitting the support bars.. And absolutely would help from keeping water from hitting the wood.. the factory that puts these together doesn’t do the best quality work.. but there isn’t anything else out there to use that a have seen.. I’m sure a guy with the right skills could build and design a much better one.. but really these are made to just pull some kids on a small tube.. and have some fun.. they work just fine for that.. thanks for watching and commenting as always I appreciate you’re comments and feedback..

OK, I (Like many of your viewers) are READY TO ORDER THE TOW BAR KIT! The problem? You failed to provide a link, or any information on how to get this tow bar. I even called Sun Tracker customer service with no help. My local dealer claims he can’t get one! PLEASE ADVISE! 😳

There are different part numbers depending on your size of pontoon. If you google tracker boat center near me you will find a phone number . Tell them pontoon size and your you will probably want to measure the distance between the logs . The ski bars come in a couple of different widths
If you have a sun tracker they will just need you hull id number
Also just checked on the price.. they are up to almost $1k now .. 😳
