When I was in my DI (dietetic internship), I was moved around every 1-3 weeks for different rotations. I feel your pain! lol, but it is worth it in the end. It's also awesome to have knitting as a hobby during all the chaos :) Loved getting to see and hear about all your wips!
Also lol if (when you are knitting flat) you use a smaller needle on just the side you are purling onto and the required size needle on the side you are knitting onto it may even out your purls. Then go back to both needles being the same when you knit in the round. Hope this helps
Hi! Look up rowing out and it should help you. Its likely the wood needles had more grip to them and that could have eased out the difference between the tension and amount of yarn used for purls vs knits when knitting flat versus straight knitting when in the round. Love your podcast! I knit my way through professional school recently so I totally relate to your podcast! Love your aesthetic and choice in projects. I think you said you are in New York..... but If you're ever in Philly check out Loop, WildHand, and Yarnphoria. Each has a distinct personality and worth checking out!
Congrats on passing your first board!!! For the tank, I agree the straps are too long and icord is unlikely to fix the issue, but it looks like stockinette, so is it possible to just Kitchener stitch the straps shorter? Then you wouldn’t have to redo the whole thing, just undo some of the fabric from the middle of the strap
For the Eva top if you really don't want to frog and restart, I would put in life lines and then cut and graft together at the top of the shoulder, or even the back of the shoulder. I don't think that the i-cord will save it, it definitely is too long.
I love love the beach cover up and skirt!!! Other comments have better solutions for the knitting flat vs knitting in the round gauge issue but I’ll just say the same thing definitely happens to me since my purling gauge is much looser than my knitting
I guess everybody in the comments recommended already to cut the straps. 😂but just an advice if you go down in needle size, you will use up more yarn not less And also the cotton will probably stretch a lot So I would maybe even do the straps shorter than what your final look should be and put it on a hanger and add weight to get the final length (saves also yarn)
Love the beach knits! I also am not the biggest fan of super mesh-y knitting-- I'd rather crochet my beach knits. Props to you for finishing before your beach trip! :)
for the eva top cut, and then kitchen stitch the straps back together!
cut the straps and kitchener it!!! you can do it (currently procrastinating doing this to a blocking fail)

Love the color of your Cloud Top. 🧶

This is what I came to the comments to say! I think it would be pretty simply to cut and reseam with Kitchener at your desired length
It’s the sunscreen!!!
Loveee the boatneck batwing top and the lime skirt patterns. Thanks for the inspo!

You can soak mercerized cotton in hydrogen peroxide to remove the staining…it won’t harm the fabric
Oh amazing thank you so much!
When you work flat you are purling. Purling takes up more yarn than when you knit in the round. If I’m relaxed my purls get bigger. Hope this helps
You know the sliders that you find on a bra could they work?
