    Nice to see you back in the saddle Matt and you have just demonstrated its about the person behind the camera as you produced a great image despite some of the limitations of the lens. The mark of a good photographer that is

    So glad you are back and posting again Matt. Hope all has worked out ok for you and you have settled back in Oz. I really enjoyed this post , I have never photographed the Milky way before, so maybe I should blow the dust off 16 f1.4, head out of the ciity and have a crack at it. Great image you ended up with mate, looking forward to your next vlog.

    Glad to see you back! I liked the way you framed the milky way with the tree, very cool. I definitely want to try a milky way shot this summer here in the states, got some good tips from the video! Cheers!

    Welcome back, Matt! 3 months away far too long; thought you had abandoned your channel. Abrupt venue change from Slovenia to Australia. Bit of continuity narration would have helped, IMO. “Good to be back” not said until well past vid mid-point. Anyway, stellar image and step by step explanation, Photopills insert a plus. I take it this is an all manual lens, w/no exif data sent to camera, yes? If so, I doubt I would use it often. Cheers, mate!

      Hey Paul thanks - yeah last 3 months has not been good for me in my life and a lot of has changed in a negative way so prefer to keep that in my personal life and not share it all over the internet. May do an update vlog, but prefer to keep this channel about photography/travel not so much my life :D

    good for Fullframe, but i think for APS-C Night Photography there are better choise, Sigma 16mm F1.4 Samyang 12mm or the 14mmF2,8
    But the Nisi is nice for Sunnstars

    Welcome back..have been wondering where you have been. I feel that maybe you should have stated why you have been absent for so long, but is good to have you back.
    I really enjoy your content, especially showing off Slovenia. Can I suggest that you try to stop saying "bloody" all throughout your vlogs as I feel it really brings down your content.

    • @matthewstorerphotography
      @matthewstorerphotography  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for the concern, my life has not been the best the past 3 months and feel like I sort of wish to keep them personal, I may do an update vlog but a lot of negative things have happened in the past 3 months - so yeah.
      Regarding the "bloody" situation - I am australain and we say that a lot so sorry about that guess its just who I am :D

    Any reason to get this lens over the 12mm F2 Samyang? - seems the Samyang is better in every way?
