    I’m so glad there are people like me who think this is a great album. I normally play guitar but one day I found my self in Sam Ash music store browsing around for guitar strings. Suddenly on the Wall I was saw this little ukulele that caught my eye. At that time I didn’t even know how to play it, I just knew I had to take it home so I did. Weeks pass by and I found myself picking on this beautiful instrument but had no clue on how to make music. Ofcourse it sounded adorable. I knew enough about playing guitar and music theory that I eventually got the hang of it. Pathetically I learn how to play somewhere over the rainbow and a few other songs that I like. However due to all this and whatever personal reason I was going through, I found Eddie Vedder ukulele songs and the rest was history. It’s was like finding and old but well structure beautiful album from the era of my grandparents. I admittedly fell in love and so did my playing. Dude your lesson is phenomenal. I’m sure there are people like me who can appreciate your video.

    When this came out in 2011, I heard it on the radio and bought a uke. Been playing ever since. Thank you Mr. Vedder!

    As a ukulele newbie...this is not the easiest song to learn, but I watch this video several times a week and I am going to master it!! Thank you so much for this; you're a great teacher and a beautiful uke player!

    Don't worry about vocals. I like when you sing. Sometimes I can't recoginze the song just from the chords and the melody helps a lot!

      ***** Actually I'd say that it's much easier for most people, myself including, to sing along with you instead of the original, because most singers have kind of fancy voices, and at least I find it hard most of the times.
      No offense against your voice though, it's quite enjoyable.

  • @tfall1

    Justin. I like the way you play at least a good portion of the song in the begining of the video. After I learn the song, I like to play along with you to practice in time. Thank you.

    Wonderful, Justin, as usual. I've been playing guitar for over 40 years (lefty). Bought my uke 3 or 4 years ago but never got much into it until you reignited my curiousity, most recently with Kermit's 'Rainbow Connection'. Thank you for what you do so well. And I think we can all be thankful at 5:47 that we are F'ing to G7. LMAO on one of your earlier lessons when you inadvertently went F'ing to A minor :-D. Keep it up buddy!!

    Hey Justin, I've been a subscriber to your RUclips channel for a couple years and always pass on the Uke vids because I didn't have one. Recently, I was given an old ukulele but after trying to tune it to yours, I realized that its a different type, a baritone (?) ukulele I'm pretty sure now. Which one do I need for your videos, a Soprano? (I think now) is that correct? I never realized all the different ones that are made... Thanks, buddy

    • @ukegobes
      @ukegobes 10 лет назад +1

      Soprano, concert and tenor ukuleles are all tuned gcea (as opposed to baritone dgbe). If you're coming from a guitar background you might want to try a tenor ukulele.

    • @justinguitar
      @justinguitar 10 лет назад +1

      The shapes are all the same but as above, baritone is a different tuning. I think mine is a 'concert' but they'll all work!

    • @budandbean1
      @budandbean1 10 лет назад

      Thanks to both of you, it thought I had it figured out, now we toss in Concert And Tenor Ukes. :-) +ukegobes, if you don't mind, what is the difference between the three you mentioned? ...and yes, I'm a guitar player.

    • @ukegobes
      @ukegobes 10 лет назад +2

      Buddy Martin The difference is the scale length. All three are most commonly turned to gcea. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukulele#Sizes

    Whats the size of this uke?

  • @mikecarney8023
    @mikecarney8023 9 лет назад

    i'm no expert, but i think it sounds more accurate (and better) by playing Cmaj7, F, Cmaj7, F, Dm, A, Dm, A. So the only difference is F instead of F9, and A instead of A7.
