I remember buying the React 2s a week before this was released and I hated everything about it. I immediately returned them and bought these once they came out and I'm not disappointed at all. This is truly the best pair of shoes my feet have been in. never in my life have I felt that a shoe could make me finish a run without any pain, it felt the same way as when I started.
I experienced pain in the 2s especially on the heels, the shoes were extremely tight on the front to an extent that my feet couldn't even breathe.
Great job Nike, I hope they keep making the React foam in the future.
The pull tab is strong with this one! The heel slippage cheat code is Stance socks. Great review 🙌🏾
I really wanted to like the infinity. Yes the toebox is wider but the base still tapers in a LOT at the midfoot as you can see by the outsole. The plastic guiderails taper in with the outsole and they end right under the arch and that plastic was hurting my feet, pounding my arches with every step, very aggressive. It was my mistake to wear these right out of the box for a 15k race. I had to change my gait to get the guiderail bumps off my arches. The next day my knees hurt and my knees never hurt. I returned them. I shouldn't have to change my gait to accommodate a shoe. I don't think there's a break-in period for these shoes because the guiderails are plastic, they're not going to break-in like foam. The guiderails on Brooks don't go under the arches. I really hoped these would work for me but I think Nikes are still just for people with narrow feet.
I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who was underwhelmed by these. Biggest issue is the lacing system. I struggle so much to make adjustments there.
Yes, Jami reviews great vid. was waiting for kofuzi but he still mad at Nike. Got the shoes a week ago, pretty great 👍
He's the only one who claimed he would protest and actually stuck to it. He's the new Goat
@@JamisonMichael what is he protesting?
He needs the best distance race shoes available to have a chance of breaking 3. Those Hoka's he raced his last marathon in left him with foot pain during the race in addition to DOM's and hip pain post race. Plus you are going to ignore the Alpha Fly, the Alpha trainer, and the major updated pegasus 37's?
Jamison Michael agreed Kofuzi is a man of his words....have to respect that.
Maybe I'm too crazy (or dumb) but among the whole Nike running shoe line I see a lot of gimmicks and well done marketing work. And the most grounded and real deal shoe still is the Pegasus.
Whatevs Nike, I can injure myself in any shoe!
A trick : you can watch movies on flixzone. I've been using them for watching lots of of movies lately.
Pro trick : watch movies at flixzone. I've been using it for watching loads of movies recently.
@Bishop Jaiden yup, have been using flixzone} for months myself =)
@Bishop Jaiden yup, have been watching on flixzone} for months myself :)
Here here. Had same issue with heel slipping when I tried it on. Mentioned that to @runlikeheller as well.
gang gang
Good review Jamie (as usual I'd say). We're also testing it right now - bye bye Structure
Everyone felt that zoom in when Jami said it's just me
NIKE REACT LEGEND!!!!
updated LUNAR GLIDE!!!!!
been wearing for 15 years- never hurt, only get small blister in one spot after 26.2
Jamie always brings it! Top shoe reviews on RUclips hands down 👊 Brother is saving us cheddar whether you see it or not. I would have went broke from trial and error in the 90's.
Heel slipping just walking around. Like the turbo 2. The Turbo is my favorite so hope they get
It right next round. The infinity and turbo 2 mentioned are for medium to large builds. I’m 6’1 195lb. Stick with the turbo and epic react otherwise.
Totally agree on the arch. Glad it's not just me. Had to take them off after a while. I may need to put in a few more miles to let it settle like you said.
You have the best shoe reviews on RUclips.
From what i have been experienced.. i have an under pronation foot so to prevent my injuries were to actually wearing a shoe with low heel to toe drop.. atleast 5mm so i could feel to the ground a lot more.. from there i began to correcting my foot strike from under-pronate to almost normal fore foot strike.. but indeed it took times and patience for doing it over and over in such a very slow paces.. jogging thru a lot of different terrains and finally i prevented my injuries..
Heel problem is what I had with Pegasus 36, had to return it. Went with go run ride 8 hyper as suggested by you, have been loving them ever since I bought them.. I think Nike should do something about the heel. Anyhow, great review as always 👍🏻
I love the shoe and the review but the model runs very uniquely
Thanks J. Was thinking about getting these for training. I love the Epic 1 back in the days.
Jami thanks for keeping it real. Excited by the description of this shoe I headed to the dreaded mall to try them out. The stiffness was an acceptable trade off for nike finally adding a practical sole in place of raw react.
The loose heel fit was balanced a bit by the better toe/forefoot fit.
Sadly the deathblow of the shoe for the low arch crowd is the unnecessary addition of the "stability" arch "feature". At $160 not something I'm willing to risk on the arch being less obnoxious. Take it out and leave the actually improved sole and I'm all in.
To the low arch crowd TRY B4 U BUY.
Heel slippage was an issue for me in the epic react as well, and in most knit upper shoes for that matter. The lacing system also seem to stop shorter than other “standard upper” shoes. It always seems that I have to tie the shoes super tight, to prevent slippage. That presented a whole new set of issues...
You’re the best and most entertaining reviewer thank you for your great work
Knowledge with pure joy behind it. Thank you for all your drops....gang gang. 😉
If only this shoe had an extra eyelet or came in size 11.75. I just couldn't get it to fit correctly for me :( I definitely was getting a lot of heel slipping
was waiting for this review! glad u did it
very good forefoot strike by the girl....i don't mind with the slippage in the heel area, since i reduce my injury compare to my brooks and asics shoes
Hi Jami, hope u can review the UA Machina and tell us how good is that pebax plate in that shoe.
I own a pair and I can say that most people will have a heel slipping issue for sure, no matter if you have the right size or not. The heel area is just too slick! and the laces didn't do a great job of locking your heel either. Ahh well I guess I just have to grind the miles out of these before peg37 comes out 😂.
Great review!!
Is this like Nike's answer to Hoka?
I need to try this shoe. The Epic React Flyknit 2 I still can't work out even after 100 miles. It feels slow yet my pace and times say otherwise. It feels quite firm yet my legs feel great 13 miles in. Every foot strike is muted, a bit like clapping your hands in ovengloves so you THINK it's flat. So confusing so the extra React and rubber on the sole should fix those issues for me.
Welp, Jami said it prevents injuries, gotta buy 'em now...Thanks Jami!
I liked the Epic react. Do you like this better than the Epic?
Was never crazy about React but i might have to try these :)
ok this might be a stupid question but do I wear socks with these shoes? my feet feel good on the bottom but on the right shoe the right side of my foot is pressing the right side of the shoe and after a 2 mile run it hurts.
What do you recommend to buy? Pegasus turbo 2 or infinity react run?
I have issues with heel blisters on the epic react flyknit 2, is the heel collar very similar thus meaning I’d have the same problem with this shoe?
A nice shoe once you figure out the lacing to lock it down. It's a slow, easy day shoe...
When Jami says, “secure fit.” 😋
Guess I’ll be buying the ultraboost 20. No heel slipping there 🥴
normally I watch this kind of videos in 2x, now I'm not. JM, you're a production prodigy. ;)
I weigh 215. really like the Epic react. if this guy is wider I will plan on buying. thanks.
5:34 Thats what she said
Another Great Video Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are we talking Hoka Bondi 6 level cushion here?
When will turbo 3 release?
I bought a pair and had to return them. Heel slippage terrible.
Where is marybeth??? man i was expecting her for this vid lol.. agree with the price so i'll just wait it out for a couple of months and wait for bargain prices lol
She's Reviewing the bigger releases.
How does it fit? Narrow or wide? Will it adjust to wide fit if not wide?
If u got wide foot avoid this shoe. Its so narrow midfoot!
@@indoex useful information!
Are you sure toebox is wider? Try removing insole another React to compare.
Love this shoe on foot
This model my favorite
Meanwhile there is me trying to get used to barefoot running because I'm too broke to afford a new pair every 700km.
Massive heel slippage, huge arch, crazy narrow midfoot, and negative ankle support. As soon as I tried these on I started getting knee, ankle, AND foot pain 😂🤦
I don't know if my feet are just the opposite of whoever these are meant for, but you'd have to change so many things about this shoe for me to be able to run in them. But as it is, these shoes are the opposite of injury-prevention
Please Give review of kiprun kd plus
I got the heel slipping so had to return them, really disappointing.
Can you do a 361˚ Feisu review?
How does the Infinity compare to the Odyssey react ? Have you ever done a review of the Shield React ? If so , what were your impressions ?
If vaporfly and alpha fly are banned then all carbon plate shoes should be too. Just because nike did the technology better is a piss poor excuse
Under armour machina please
I like when shoes don't push into my arch which this shoes does
What shoe would you recommend.?
I have the heel slip issue with my epic reacts I fixed it by using spenco 😁
Agreed, $180 is too much, maybe $150
Interesting that this shoe has 9mm drop bc majority of Nike’s are 10-12mm
I had to bump to 1 size up for the odyssey react. Shoud I do the same the same for these or stay true to size?
Damn that arch in the shoe 👟 I would not approve with it. It’s crazy!
A bit too heavy for me and I think Turbo 2 is better
This shoe is a no go for me. The fit is just funny. It looks wide but isn't and it runs long. I bought 3 pair, have to send them all back
Y would u buy 3 😅
@@MilanSmore to try different sizes
@@kimwarner6050 Girl, I do the same. 😉
Nike is never good in the wet. From the running shoes to the lifestyle. When it’s raining or is wet just don’t use Nike!!!
Stefano Tatti nope. I ran in the rain wearing nike free rn flyknit 2016 and it was alright
They aren’t that great tbh. Had to return mine. No clue what Nike is doing. Other than the vapor/alpha line, they’re going backwards on tech and comfort.
my ads are blocked buddy haha
Your runner is a fore foot type of runner.
1 like just for the slow-mo
Dang Lindsey showing off some running stride perfection
😂😂😂😂
Kids, dont do school, get your 8 hours of drugs.
Ultraboost 2o vs infinity react??
What are your thoughts on this being a higher mileage shoe?
That's what I consider it!
will this in a marathon? watchuthink Jami-san?
Its Pricey..well.. it's Nike..
The dude looks and has the vocals, like Samuel L. Jackson:)) Thanks for the review, Samuel!
😍
njoy
🎂
9mm drop, no thanks.
The only thing that will prevent injuries is to spread minimalist running education.
That’s too much for a shoe and I own fifty pairs of shoes
These look like what the ultraboost was supposed to become before Kanye happened
"Well we just see this shoes as another shoe that's needs to be reviewed"
Nike is destroying women's sports.
Mmmmmmm buns
