Day 1 - Langkawi - Must Visit Attractions - Temurun Waterfall, Gunung Raya, Eagle Square, MAHA Tower

  • must visit attractions in Langkawi, starting with Temurun Waterfall, also known as Air Terjun Temurun, it is the tallest waterfall in Langkawi, Malaysia. It has three tiers and a total drop of about 200 meters. The bottom tiers are accessible by hiking through the rainforest from the parking lot. The waterfall also has shallow and deep pools, and it's suitable for swimming and bathing. The waterfall is open every day from 7 AM-7 PM, and there is no entry ticket.
    Next we visited Gunung Raya which is the highest peak on Langkawi island, standing at 881 meters (2,890 feet) above sea level. It's located in the center of the island's mountainous landscape. you can drive there and enjoy the amazing view of the island.
    Eagle Square, also known as Dataran Lang, is a 12-meter-tall statue of an eagle on a blue star-shaped platform. The statue is inspired by the Langkawi sea eagle and is one of the first sights to greet visitors arriving via ferry or cruise.
    Maha Tower offers an amazing view of the surroundings, if you are interested in going to the top floor it has a glass floor with panoramic views of the Andaman Sea and a tilted viewing window.
