Everyone putting Chile down, not realizing they just beat Albania in Europe 3-0 and lost to France 3-2 in France and kept up with them.
They have a new coach who cut out Vidal and Medel and the team is a shadow of what it was just 3 months ago.
Being a Canadian I believe we have to put as many players defending as possible and score on the counter with our speed.
Hopefully we can tie all 3 games that's what I think our best outcome can be

A lot of optimists that are using their heart and not their heads. We are ranked at the bottom of our group and we have many question marks. Our Coach and tactics are stale and predictable and we lack a world class striker. Davies has been sub par.

    3-1

Tbh most Canadians thought they would destroy Croatia.
The problem was Canada’s approach, they were way too attack-minded and Croatia with all their technical quality in every position Sliced through Canada’s press like a butter knife. It felt like watching prime Barcelona in that game.
The problem is Canada’s defenders are not that good individually, so they don’t have any other choice but to play high pressing attacking football. Some of the gaps given up against Trinidad and the way the defenders were getting dribbled was embarrassing.

Recall how much trouble foul-magnet Laryea causes other teams, and how much more potent Canada is with Hoillet. A 10day camp prior to the Netherlands friendly and possibly a 2nd friendly in Euro, with everyone healthy, and you won't recognize this team.
Throw in Lucas McNaughton in the mix and Messi might just feign injury and skip the Argentina match altogether

The speed and skill of these three games will be faster and better way beyond anything in CONCACAF. If (if) they can get their ball movement faster, then they might be competitive while learning how they can improve for the WC. Can they get out of the group? Sure. That’s why the games are actually played. They would need three very exceptional two-way performances.

I know the federation is broke as hell but if Canada wants to do any better in the Copa America then they need a big name coach. People out here saying that we have quality coaches within Canada who could take up that position but to be competing for the major international matches against world class teams you need a world class coach. the biggest example of that was the World Cup. Herdman was great for Canada but the problem that we saw was his flexibility in his tactics. Trash talking Croatia before the game against Belgium not starting with both Latin and David. Taking the older guys to the world cup instead of giving youngsters a chance so they could get to know what it feels like and prep themselves. I know we probably wont be able to hire the top top coaches like Klopp Conte Mourinho Sarri but we could look into coaches a bit younger. The likes of Henry Lampard Gerrard. I personally feel getting Henry would absolutely take our team to the next level. Simply cause what he's done as a player if he could share that experience with the guys they'd learn from it . I'm all for having a Canadian coach but right now we need someone with experience of international football not mls or Cpl or concacaf for that matter
