Straight to the point drama free on both a 2012 and a 2015 Prius V.
If you can’t figure this out buy this explanation, you need to go to the Toyota dealer so that someone who has a clue can do this as you have no business tampering with a vehicle you clearly know nothing about.

For the ones more like the 2016 there is a control scroller for the screen display, you scroll to the settings choice in that and click it, then go to maintenance system. It says do you want to intialize Yes No go to yes and click.

Figured it out. On the '17, you have to hold the trip button on the steering wheel to get the 5 dashes
