I’ll admit, this isn’t a good mix of Bassa Sababa. You can barely hear it’s pieces mingling in the mix. It’s a banger, and a damn good dance beat, but it feels like the original is getting buried under the new content. 7.8/10 It’s still great, but it got lost somewhere in terms of remix.
A second meh entry by Mike Cruz. The long, long intro is more about Mike than Bassa Sabbaba, but Mike isn't nearly as good as Netta, so why? Nothing original, just pounding beat. Basically, this gave me a headache. So far the prize for the best mix (the ONLY mix I liked) goes to Dalit Rechester.
@@MrJasonshores364 My opinion is that I don't like gibberish. Learn how to speak/write if you want an answer from me. Though maybe poor, babbling English makes you giggle, too.
@@leahshalek6144 Sound design-wise, plus song structure with the layering of percussion, sub-bass, and stacked chords, I wouldn't call this a "meh" entry. Also, the long intro and outro is intentional as a way of transitioning to the next song, if it were being played in a set. I had the same thoughts when I first got into EDM scene, thinking it was all just a pounding beat, and/or being repetitive, etc. Over the past few years it grew on me, and I've learned to appreciate the artistry behind it all. KOAN Sound is a good example where deeper tones pair so well with bright, crisp notes. On paper, it shouldn't work, but it does. This isn't a "no u" response. All I'm saying is take a step back, analyze, and open up cause you'll never know that you might end up finding a hidden gem.
@@DjurrenArt List man, I grew up on Prince. Talk about layers in a song. You can listen to his songs a hundred times and still hear something new. Also, I was a DJ in the late 80s-early 90s. I mixed when we were still using records. If I'm looking for an interesting beat, I can turn to Salt-N-Pepa. THEY knew how to do an intro! ruclips.net/video/vCadcBR95oU/видео.html On your advice, I tried this one again. A minute and a half in and it's still meh to me. To each their own, I guess.
