I like the lore with the animus item shops - with the limits Turtle placed on animus magic before Boa temporarily broke it, it's easy to imagine a world where dragons grow complacent about it, and enchanted items become commonplace; however, as you so clearly demonstrate here, seemingly benign objects can become rather terrifying in the wrong talons... especially ancient items that were created _before_ the restrictions, as Chat mentions. I wonder how this terrible trio _first_ met - all of them are master manipulators, all have ancient animus objects from their tribes' past, all of them feel like society should rely on dominance and strength again, rather than newer systems that they view as 'weak', 'oppressive', or as 'not valuing them enough.' In all cases with them at the top of their respective tribe (or all of dragonkind), of course. That's always the case with these kinds of 'reformists'. Maybe an intertribal meeting they tagged along to where these three tried to bully each other, and were surprised to find equals instead of victims? I also notice that unlike the heroes, none of them are hybrids. I wonder if they are purists - Wildfire's views on SkyWing dominance and Frostbite's evocation of traditional IceWing values tip me in that direction, and it would certainly explain some of the distaste they have for modern dragon society and its leadership. I do like how, while they are all ruthless, manipulative and charming, we have the petty one, the explosive one, and the calculating one, as well as the lowborn, the royal, and the highborn. They would be amazing to see play off each other. I adore the book covers!!! Those are so pretty.
I adore your analysis of the characters and the lore behind them!! I agree on how with animus magic back, so would resurface the ancient enchanted items. Amidst the "innocent" objects are also the most dangerous. I like your idea on how the trio would meet at an intertribal meeting. I think since the story takes place so far in the future, intertribal towns and settlements similar to Possibility would be a lot more common, perhaps even more common than for dragons to live in their "assigned" tribes' settlements. Places like the IceWing and SkyWing castles would become more symbolic rather than governing, and Wildfire and Frostbite seek to change that. Meanwhile, Maelstrom is in it for all of the control: as Chat mentioned they want to be at the top of all dragons. Frostbite and Wildfire, being the more intelligent ones, let Maelstrom work with them because they enjoy Maelstrom's bloodlust and sheer determination. However, when it's all over both Frostbite and Wildfire agree on the idea that they simply want to dominate their own tribes, IceWing and SkyWing respectively, and will figure out how to satisfy Maelstrom's hunger for power afterwards haha. Despite the desire for power and dominance, the three would grow soft spots for each other as they work so closely together, with their personalities playing off each other with great chemistry as you mentioned. In the climax of the story they would most likely realize the damage they've done (thanks to the protag, Starcaller, of course) and how they are forced to choose between their friendship with one another and obtaining their final goal. Perhaps they both are pretending they aim to be Maelstrom's deputies for each of their tribes once Maelstrom rules, while in reality of course planning no such thing. The irony would be unbearable. Unless it's Maelstrom who isn't honest about their desires, and the others think all three are working to seize control of their tribes. Frostbite always on the lookout for a backstab from expansionist/supremacist Wildfire, not realizing that Maelstrom is the one to watch out for. Or perhaps their friendship _is_ genuine, and they're all honest with each other - and they are just trying not to think about the inevitability of what will happen when their goals collide. So much potential! It's fun to theorize; I'm glad you enjoy it when I do ^^
@@SilverScroll I definitely think Wildfire and Frostbite would both make an agreement with one another to have Maelstrom think they're doing it all for them, when it's not the case. Like you said, the two are humoring Maelstrom in a way, as they connect with Maelstrom's desire for power but both believe Maestrom's goals of having TOTAL control are not reasonable. I like to believe their friendship is genuine, and they are just trying not to think about the inevitability of what will happen when their goals collide, as you said!
This is just a suggestion, but I feel like it might make more sense if the villains found their animus-touched items hidden away somewhere(or at least with Maelstrom I could see him finding his in some deep sea trench), or if there's a black market for dangerous/powerful animus-touched items.
As I watched this last night, I couldn't help but come up with an idea for how all the "dark rituals", "forbidden magic", and the like tie together with the fact that all three of these villains seem to get their powers from rings. **Somewhere deep below the surface of Pyrrhia, there lies a vault. The key to this vault is not a simple object, but an action. A ritual sacrifice is required to open it. Inside are six rings, each bearing a different power that they can bestow upon their wearer. The first four grant dominion over elements: water, ice, lightning, and shadow. The fifth can be used in conjunction with any of these to create autonomous constructs from their associated elements. The function of the sixth ring is as of yet unknown, but legend says that if it is used along side the other five, something terrible will happen.** Edit: I don't know how to do italics on RUclips.

Wildfire's description reminds me of my oc forest fire. His wings, tail and talons are a fade from his main scale colour red to orange and then to yellow
I think that when the three somehow meet the protagonists, frostbige will relize that the seawing/sandwing? Has an animus touched object. Yannow the one that lets them move theough sand easier. Perhaps frostbite noticing this would get the other two to start being on the lookout for animus dragons or items, they would relize that it wouldn't be very easy to take over if there are dragons who can have the same power. So i think that they would make it seem as if the are going after the all-tribe dragon, because, all tribe dragon. But in actuality they are going after the supposed animus touched seawing/sandwing. Amd with all of them being manipulative and cunning the sea wing of the three would track down the adventurous parent of the guy/girl/dragon and befriend them. All while the other two distract the protags. Then at the climax of the "books" they finaly have every animus dragons and animus touched items. Wild fire being the strongst of the three demand the ring for the dads life and so they give it. But then the three villans relize that they cant share the power equaly, not all the objects are made equally. And thats where that drama of, best freind or power comes into play. But thats all just a suggestion for lore, i noted you made main character blush? Around the seawing sandwing so this could fit in that way? This would probobly happen behind sean aswell so it wouldn't take up the main story. But yea- i have to admit i really like the seawing sandwing sooo -w- have fun with this, mini story?
I love your theories and ideas! Having them going after a parent rather than the dragon with the animus-touched item so they can get to them easier would be an interesting plot line >:0
I feel like there should be a even bigger villain and he manipulated the trio into wanting power and in each book the group breaks one of the animus touched objects until the trio decided to join forces with the main group to defeat the dragon who made them evil

Great series, I’m really enjoying it so far!! Perhaps something like this but generating fan tribes (and ocs within those fan tribes) could be a lot of fun! I’ve tried messing with it s bit and it even gives tribe culture, status with other tribes, beliefs, and a bunch of other cool stuff :0 definitely checking out your channel!

I used to have a wof oc named prism, but didnt know what tribe to make it, so i kind of gave up on it
ok so liek yk how like 2 of them have ring jewelry for their magic objects…… WELL WHAT IF what if thats bc they met an animus dealer of some sorts that will give them these super strong pieces for a hefty price bc dont the dragons lose their sanity if they magic too much??? it seems like itd b too much chaos to hand out magic objects that can like, change the time and weather js on display for any dragon who wants to buy bc that could mess up a ton of how the world works so there def is like a ban on animus touched items that r TOO powerful but the trio finds the animus dealer that would like do anything 4 money including their own sanity which 2 me seems like a great plot thingy bc then the dealer can go insane and go all rawrrrrrr i want my stuff back and hunt them down n they have this super duper epic magic battle bc the dealer dont care no more abt how insane they are maybe this sounds silly but i js gotta share it🙏🙏
