This is a great kit. Very detailed and educational. Previous modeling experience is a definite plus. Patience and care are the keys. Dont work on it if you feel rushed. Take your time and you'll be ok. I found the painting to be more of a challenge.

The Tamiya kit is mistaken, the 37 wasen't just a "anti-aircraft", it was actually an updated version of the 36 with newer instrumentation. They both served in the duel role of anti-tank/aircraft. It was not uncommon for 36/37 parts to be interchanged during the war.

If you think this kit is hard you should see the dragon version. Still this is a very detailed kit especially for it being from the 70’s

Mine is almost done. I just hit it when I'm in the mood. I'm keeping the gun in the towed firing position.

Being configured as a Flak 36 does not specify it being an anti-tank gun. Flak 36 was an improvement on Flak 18. Both were used in both roles.

Hello. Yea, lots of little parts. If you are new I would recommend maybe tank kits with the tracks made of rubber. Tamiya and Dragon both make great kits but Dragon kits are usually more for advanced builders. Cheers!

Question: the 2 legs spread, how do they retract for travel, doent appear there to be room to retract all the way to main support?

What a build. I am not brave enough to undertake that monster!

Yep.......fun though. Great lesson in patience and taught me more about focus and enjoying the build process. Model turned out great.
