In my life, I have heard this poem as a song sung by so many singers. You are the second singer after the legendary Noor Jehan to have captivated my heart through your beautiful rendition, brother. I also learnt for the first time from one of your replies regarding the reason for the use of 'meree' in place of 'merey'. I pray to Allah the Almighty for your good health, peace, prosperity, success and happiness in life.
In the life of the ordinary and mediocre usual, this voice immediately takes one to another time and space...but you have to listen to it till the end, feel, and be honest to yourself... God bless this soul touching tone ....that keeps echoing long after and ignites love in heart...
Just typed "Mujh se Pehli si Muhabbat" and came across various renditions. Though Ali Sethi has done a good job but this piece is of next level. Highly recommended. Keep it up Mehran Bhai!
