Function explanation: cothx=1/tanhx. Strictly decreasing for all x. Some limit values: -1 at x→-∞, -∞ at x->-0, +∞ at x->+0, 1 at x->+∞ Similar to 1+1/x, but always 1
3:10 you guys should play with the five in this one, on a normal graph it’s actually just a sin wave, but on a polar graph you can actually vary how many points the star has, and by adding directly to theta, you can rotate it
Some other cool polar graphs (I'm gonna shorten theta to t btw) butterfly: r=sin(2t)+(sin(8t)/4) Hey, it includes 9: r=sin(5t)/9+(sin(20t/9)/4) Biohazard: r=sin(6t/7)+(sin(9t/7)/4)
Math wiz: POV: you just found out about "cloth" functions Me having literally found out cloth functions was a word: 👁_👁 Also, I could picture Sonic treading water or dirt or something in the cloth graph.
these videos are so nice to watch before bed, you should definitely put desmos on dark mode to make it even better
wait what? there's a desmos dark mode?

Yes

Wait you have less then 1k subs? This content is awsome! You need more recognition.
nope

How exciting!
Shoulda tried using logarithms too. They make some crazy patterns.
Not just Aweome, but also Verbose
These were beginning to look less than Polar Graphs and more into abstract shapes that don't exist.
No, there are an infinite Number of shapes that exist.
@@Boowompland69bruh just let op describe how mind-bogglingly phenomenal the graphs look

That IS what it's like to discover hyperbolic functions

Thank you for excellent videos! How do you create the functions for this art?

I didn’t even know polar graphs exist and I made a lot of equations with r and theta
8:07: actually you could even animate it using this equation: r = 7 sin(a\theta)
Imagine learning how to draw from these graphs...
If you do r=(cos^2)theta then you will get a graph that looks like the infinity symbol

Hi, which font do you use to display test and formulas on screen?
I use the default font of Manim, which is "Computer Modern" if I'm not mistaken
can you make it all dark mode my eyes cant adjust to this and its giving me a headache 😭😭
Sorry mate, i did not anticipate that. Next video will be all dark.
@@the-mathwizard you keep up with the polar graphs, I'll try to animate them!

Are you inputting zero instead of theta?
Zero is 0
Theta is θ
If you don't want to look up theta to copy and paste, you can just type t-h-e-t-a

desmos
